Great for the price

The Miyako hotel was great. It was easy to find from the airport.Everyone was so nice and respectable, the rooms were clean they have free internet.check in and out was great our plane left lax at 5am and we still had no problem with service. The parking was tough didn't seem like enough space, the attendant was very helpful eventhough his english was shakey. The parking cost as much as the room. over all my experience was good.

Miyako Great Location

Two minor problems @ Miyako that they fixed right away. Parking cost @ Miyako was $17.05/day, parking lot next door was $13.-/day. These cost need to be known ahead of time so guest(s) can budget. We requested ajoining rooms, but didn't get them. We ate @ local resturants, & didn't even try the hotel resturant.

Outstanding staff - Clean and convenient

The Miyako was conveniently located near the LA courthouse where I had business. Price was quite good, staff outstanding, room comfort above average. Dining facility was only average but there were few customers. Food service was excellent. Food price was reasonable but food quality only average. The only negative was appearance of chairs in the room - showing scratches on chair legs and table - attendant to age. Carpets were very clean, beds excellent, towels plentiful and of good quality. Draperies were well hung and well maintainted - and windows clean. I recommend this hotel.

ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS EXPERIENCE!!

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. An extreme value for the money. What you get is high-end hotel accomodations for a budget hotel price. The rooms were very nicely appointed and the hotel staff was the friendliest that I have ever encountered. The valet parking was very, very helpful and takes away completely having to worry about the safety of your car. A very, very nice amenity. There was a 19.00 a day charge for the valet parking but the public garage was 17.00 and anyone who knows LA knows that this is an absolute bargain for the convenience, safety, and piece of mind. Just drive to the door, step out and they take it from there. I would not hesitate to stay there again and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-end hotel experience at a budget hotel price. You won't be disappointed with this one!

Perfect for the price!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Miyako. The staff really made my stay worth it. Every staff member I interacted with was incredibly polite and helpful. The room and facilities were minimal but totally sufficient. I stayed in the standard room, their lowest priced room, and it was still good sized with a big closet and all the standard accomodations. The room service was shockingly fast, (15 min!) good food, and reasonably priced. The hotel is in Little Tokyo, on the outskirts of downtown. It is conveniently located if you only need to be in downtown LA, but there is not much around there for tourists aside from Little Tokyo shopping and some art galleries.

Very friendly staff

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is conducting business in the downtown area of Los Angeles, and who like myself tends to want room service for my meal, and maybe some place close to go in later evening for entertainment sake. A very comfortable place, with friendly efficient staff. My meal was delivered in less than 1/2 hour, still hot and everything was delicious. I will be staying at the Miyako the next time I travel to Los Angeles, and I will sample some of the many Japanese and Chinese restuarants within a two block radius. The room accommodations were clean, the bed was very comforatable (two doubles in my room).

I was a little unhappy with the view from my hotel window and the room was a little dark. bringing up this little point to one of the hotel staff had me suddenly being upgraded and put in one of their nicest rooms! The location and (kindness) of every member of this hotel staff make staying here a joy......! I will return here on my next Los Angeles visit in May.
