The hotel was beautiful, even if you do not stay, is a place to visit

The hotel exceded my expectations because of the beuty of the building. Staff was accomodating and allow us to see rooms that were not available to the public. This hotel should be a recomended visit when in downtown LA. The location was also convinient and easy exit to freeway.

Holiday trip

It was pretty nice. The hotel is older but very ornate. The decorations were beautiful. The club room has rich colors so it was a little dark for me plus our room was in a corner so we did not get as much sunlight - as for one that faces outward. Breakfast buffet was good and the business lounge is excellent.

Trip for preaching and lecturing

The hotel is a beautiful building. However, the room was a bit of a disappointment. It was rather small. The bathroom especially was cramped and inconvenient. Dropping off and picking up by car was a nightmare. My wife and I gave a presentation on our urban ministry (Atlanta-rpc.org) at the Los Angeles Reformed Presbyterian Church where Sr. Nathan Eshelman is a great pastor and preacher--highly recommended. I also preached there and gave a lecture at Tyndale International University where I serve as President. Cordially, Frank J. Smith, Ph.D., D.D.

Okay, not great

Old fashioned hotel, grandiose lobby and nice staff. Out of date rooms and some moisture problems. Limited room service and lounge hours. Staff was very friendly though. I had read in prior reviews that the rooms were kind of moist..took a chance. It was do-able, but not for more than a night or 2

the room just soso

very nice building and very good location in LA downtown, but the price is not worth the price, also I booked the king size bed room, when I be there, just give me a 2 beds room, than tell me "we don;t have the king size room anymore, you just make a booking before a night ago, if you want a king sized bed room should make a booking before 3 days ago." For this, I don't want to come again.
