Moving daughter to school in LA week

Experience was good. I had not been to this hotel in about 15 years - when it had been completely renovated. Was disappointed to see the carpeting in the hallways duct taped together and worn/dirty. Had the carpeting been in good shape the hotel would have been perfect.

Beautiful, but missing some things!

The hotel is incredibly beautiful, but is missing amenities that are now standard at most Motel 6 facilities. For example, the hotel charges for WiFi, has no honor bar or refrigerator in the room, and only has ice machines and pop machines on every other floor. It was a bit disconcerting, to say the least. However, the staff was very polite and worked hard to be as helpful as possible.

Dangerous location for pedestrians

I recommend this hotel ONLY to travelers with a car. i didn't know that its location, downtown in LA is the most dangerous part of LA until i went out for a walk for a while in early evening. How could have i imagined that the area which has many beautiful buildings and expensive places is dangerous? Walking around this hotel is kind of risky adventure, so if you wanna stay here without a car, you'd better stay in the building, and move to other places by a taxi. but if you don't mind this dangerous street, just go out and enjoy the things around this hotel, becuz there are many fancy restaurants, bars, and cafes all over around. i strongly recommend to visit LA library and nearby cafe, it's beautiful. Except for location, even if it didn't feel like 4-stars without the lobby and the exterior of hotel, everything was just fine and price-reasonable; i went there with REASONABLE price. Lobby was the most impressing part of this hotel becuz it was rly grand and looked like a historical constructure. The staffs were all very kind and helpful. However, it was little bit shocked that there was no fridge and abt 10 dollars internet was so slow.

beautiful lobby, decent rooms

i only stayed one night but all of the staff were very courteous and helpful. the lobby, bar, and lounge areas are gorgeous. my room had a single king bed but wasnt anything amazing. i did note that the air conditioning units were hidden, which is a good change from other hotels ive stayed in. the bathroom could have been cleaner (hard water buildup on the shower head), but the rooms are old and i'm a super neat freak. my only issue is that the hotel itself does not offer free parking or free wireless internet in room. even so, i would definitely stay here again

romantic getaway

The Millenium Biltmore is a historic hotel with a wonderful ambience. The rooms were pretty standard, and the bathrooms were nice and spacious. However the view left much to be desired. My overall stay was very satisfing. The staff was helpful and friendly and the room service was the best. I would stay at the Biltmore again and would also recommended it to others.

The lobby bar and grand hall are amazing. The rooms are fine. The location is excellent. I can't say that it was the best value, but besides that, it was great.

The overall experience was nice. After a long/noisy night at a concert nearby we were hungry. Tried to order room service at 12:00 am off the "Late Night" room service menu. The operator informed us that "Room Service closed at 11:00 PM". I offered a friendly suggestion of removing the Late Night Room Service Menu from the hotel information book to receive "is their anything else you need" from the other end of the phone. Hmmm!!

Downtown Not for Tourists

The price of this hotel is great, but the location isn't good for tourists. Also, the front desk workers were rude. I think the front desk guy was just being a jerk. Otherwise, it's a pretty good deal, but not a great location for tourists.

Hotel valet parking is pretty high compared to parking on 5th for $6 per entry which is still less then valet at $40 a day. We were in and out at least 3 times a day at $18 a day.

LA Beauty

This is the Grande Dame of LA hotels, in the heart of the historic downtown (yes, LA has history people) district on Pershing Square and a block or two from the main financial centers as well as city hall and the library. Having stayed at a number of other hotels in this hood on business, this is my favorite place by far. The Staples Center, Little Tokyo, Chinatown, and Olivera Street are not far away.
