Biltmore for 4 nights

The MB made our stay worthwhile. The receptionist(s) were very helpful and took the time to recommend a few places to eat. The hotel is close to the highway(s), sports arena(s), and arts district. The weekends bring a large number of wedding ceremonies and the week days smaller conventions; in short there is always something going on around you. Though the lobby, pool, and bar were all amazing, the rooms are showing there age. If you are not planning on camping in your room your whole stay then the BM is an excellent choice. Parking is a downer; be sure to to take advantage of the local parking decks if you plan on parking your car for several days. If you plan on being in and out you may need to suck it up and pay for the valet; as you are not charged for re-entry.

Old School Classy

The rooms are huge but there was not much furniture in ours. Not really a problem, but it would have been nice to have a dresser or an extra chair since there's all that space. The pool is warm and super-ornate. Beautiful, really. There's a sauna and a hot tub, and the whole thing is surrounded by the fitness center, separated by glass. The only issue is that you'll have to walk through the lobby (and then down a series of hallways) to get to the pool. If there's a convention, prepare for lots of people to see you in swim wear! Check in/out was seamless, and while the parking was expensive, the valet crew couldn't have been more efficient and nice. Plan an extra $40/night for parking.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

It might only be on the weekend, but there's a $4 parking lot only a block away. Not sure if you can park overnight there, either, but it's a lot cheaper.

Great hotel with Very expensive parking.

Wonderfully restored California lnadmark. Large comfortable room with great bed. But $40.00 for the privilege of parking your car is more than a bit onerous. The Valets were very efficient and courteous, and for that price they surely should be.

Sweet 1year Anniversary

Everyone was super nice and helpful. The bartenders in the downstairs bar, were not as friendly and actual ragged on the front desk people for giving us "wrong information". Actually the front desk did not give us wrong information, we were upgraded to the fancy bar upstairs, and the bartender just didn't want us to go up there. Humph!!! Otherwise had a great time!

Good experience.

Cool hotel. Great decor. Rooms not as nice as rest of the hotel. Felt a little shabby inside. Bathroom sink rattled away from wall.Noise from the hallways seeped into rooms. Very loud. Parking pretty crazy and that weekend streets were shut down do to event. [...]Hotel Restaurants great.

Beautiful hotel/terrible service

The hotel is a deco palace, but getting into a room took an hour. First, they had entered our reservation for the wrong date, and it took them 20 minutes and a manager to correct it. Next, we went up to our room, only to find someone else already in the room! The front desk took another 15 minutes to send someone up with keys to another room. Really, a comedy of errors, but not very funny.

Millennium Biltmore Hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at the Biltmore. I work at a fashion market in downtown LA so it is very conveniently located to where I need to be for work. It is within walking distance to the market and has neighboring convenience stores and restaurants.

VALET IS A RIPOFF, IS $40/DAY NORMAL?

IT WAS A GREAT LOCATION. WE NEEDED TO BE IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA TO TAKE CARE OF THINGS THERE. THE HOTEL WAS VERY ELEGANT LOOKING, BUT ONCE WE GOT INTO THE ROOM, THE BATHROOM FIXTURES REALLY MADE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WERE IN A PUBLIC RESTROOM. THE BATHROOM/SHOWER COULD USE MUCH UPDATING. AND THE TV ALSO NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. THERE WAS NO MINI REFRIGERATOR. THERE WAS COMPLIMENTARY COFFEE THOUGH. WE JUST STAYED FOR A DAY, SO I DON'T HAVE MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THE AMENITIES. THE ONE THING THAT WE DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THE HOTEL OVERALL IS THE $40/DAY VALET FEE! I WISH I CHECKED FOR THAT BECAUSE THAT WOULD HAVE PROBABLY BEEN THE DEAL BREAKER TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL. SINCE IT WAS ONLY A DAY, IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL, BUT FOR SOMEONE STAYING MORE THAN A DAY, I'D RECONSIDER THIS PLACE.
