Bad Parking Arrangements
There was minimal parking available and it all had to be valet. The facility is built on two different levels. The lower (main facility) is where the business services, restaurant, gift shop and lounge were located. If you were on the high hill level, and unless you were into hill climbing, you had to get your car from the valet to drive down to the main facility where you had to valet park again, or you had to wait for shuttle service. Then you went through the same routine to get back to your room. The road between the two levels was very narrow, and because of the need for the valets to park cars along that road, it often became a one lane road for two-way traffic.

Good Hotel, Good Location
We stayed here for a wedding and were very happy with the accomodations. The pool was very nice and the outside patio for dining was great. The rooms are very large, but somewhat dated. There are two seperate parts to the hotel. One is up the hill and has several rooms and the pool and spa. The other is down the hill with the front desk and the restaurant, bar, function hall and guest rooms. It was a bit inconvenient to stay up the hill. The only way to get down to the other part of the hotel was either drive or take the hotel shuttle service which was actually an extended golf cart most of the time. Also, the entire hotel is valet parking only. It is reasonable to have valet parking for the lower level, but certainly not necessary (or should be optional) for the upper level. I was not appreciative of the $22 nightly charge for mandatory valet.

Luxe Sunset is a solid 4 star
It was a very nice hotel. modern furniture and funky amenities. super clean but not in the bathroom: discolored grout that could have easily just been cleaned. very nice staff: kind and attentive. not loud at all but you could hear traffic in the mornings and in the evenings.

Nice hotel, really thin walls
Great room, though the first one they gave me was horrible; ask and you shall be moved. Large rooms, wonderful space, really thin walls - pray that you don't get active neighbors! Great location for the Getty - if you like the Getty, I don't - and easy to Santa Monica and West LA. I like the hotel, but not sure i would go again.

One night stay at Luxe on Sunset
Hotel is in a great location and appears to be a popular place that hosts events for community organizations. I didn't try the spa or pool, but the overall feel was relaxing and welcoming. Hotel staff was friendly and tried very hard to ensure wishes of guests were met. Valet wait can be lengthy if an event just ended and you have several people waiting.

Loved this place!
I booked Luxe because I was attending a wedding near the Getty Center. I loved almost everything about this hotel! The friendly staff, the decor, the room size and the cleanliness of it. There was complimentary internet and even a small fridge, that was stocked, but I was able to keep my little cake in to keep fresh. They were more than happy to move me the second day, when I requested a room with a patio. This was definitely one hotel that I didn't mind spending time in. My favorite part was the bathroom, since I am very particular about the cleanliness of my bathrooms and the layout. I loved how the shower was big enough, where I wouldn't hit my elbow on the shower wall, the toilet was perfectly placed (away from the sink) and the spa tub was big enough for two. Overall, the layout and decor of this hotel is my favorite. I also really enjoyed the bathrobes they provide. My only minor issues with this hotel is the driveway and the entrance. I almost missed the driveway when I arrived and since it was 2am, the entrance was a little dark for me to realize that I had arrived at the right place. Maybe a bigger more noticeable sign would help. Also, the day of checkout, I had one person knock on the door (at 10:30am) asking if I was checking out today, which I replied that we would be leaving at noon, but then half hour later another person came knocking asking the same thing. My problem is that I've never had a high scale hotel knock on the day of checkout, making me feel like I was almost being kicked out the door, let alone a second knock. If they're going to do this please ensure it's only once, so the guest doesn't feel like they're not wanted anymore since it's their last day. The location is great but a little hard to exit driveway when the 405 traffic is high. It's right off the 405 freeway and literally minutes away from Beverly Hills, Melrose, Sunset strip (all the good places). I would definitely stay here again if the price is right.

Luxe
Great room, Highly recommend the Jr. Suite.. Nice size, Great bath room with large shower... . Great price and location to everything. Parking Valet very fast... Bar staff need some work - unfriendly, and made you feel very un-welcomed. Pool was located atop hill, long walk and not much there.. If you wanted to have a drink by the pool - bring a cooler..... Over all - would recommend... The rooms took the show... and the price....

Loving L.A.!
Beverly Hills Hideaway
This hotel is very clean and is staffed with friendly, knowledgable and accomodating staff. The hotel is not quite as upscale as it appears on the website, but it is clean and well decorated. The food was delicious. We ate in the dining room upon arrival and we ordered room service for dinner on our final evening. We did not visit the pool or fitness center. One feature that was surprising is that there are two buildings on the property. We were placed in the second building which is up the hill at the end of a long driveway. To get back and forth there is a shuttle service. We would have preferred to be in the main building but as it turned out it was simple and quick to take the shuttle when necessary. The valet parking service was helpful in retrieving our rental car when needed also. The hotel is nestled in a residential area and it was quiet and safe. It is just seconds from the highway so it is very convenient. The drive to and from the airport was manageable. Yes, I would recommend this hotel to other travelers.
