They also don't tell you it's a $30 charge for parking per night since you can't park on the street at downtown. Also getting into the hotel because of the location was horrible, and very time consuming. Don't stay at downtown!

The LA Marriot Downtown is centrally located just a few blocks from the Metro (which takes you anywhere), great dining and ... the Staples Center. Also provides easy access to Dodger Stadium if you wanna take in a ballgame. The room was quite large, clean and well stocked with toiletries, coffee and other items to make our stay comfortable. The fitness center was top notch with a variety of weights, machines and workout gear. Overall an excellent experience. Next time I travel to LA, which will be soon, I will definitely put this hotel on top of my list.

First-class Service
TJ Jul 26, 2009
We had a great vacation thanks to the Marriott Hotel. We get very good service at the in-hotel restaurant. There is also a ... compact but up-to-date gym, and a very comfortable pool surrounded by beautiful palm trees. The world trade center building is a few blocks away. We can walk to the largest music perfoming center in the United State, Los Angeles Music Center, in ten munites. The room is very clean and equipped with wireless internet connection. The staffs are very polite. We will be back!

The worst hotel experience in states
Mary Jane Jun 30, 2009
However we had requested a 2 bed room for 3 people, as soon as they saw we had not reserved through them, they gave us a room ... with 1 bed. I had to sleep on the couch since they SAID they were out of roll beds too. They gave us the noisiest room by all the air condintiones for the huge building, nad they were turning on and off every 5 minutes all night! Worst night of my life. In the morning after my omplains they put us in a quieter 2 bed room that they said they had quite a few the last night but couldn't give it to us since they were reserved directly through them, and had to keep them available. I will never do this again. I will reserve the room through the hotel, the way I had always done. Seems like they screw you if you don't.

The hotel itself was very nice. The staff was exceptional, taking care of our needs and planning our activities. They booked ... most of our events and arranged transportation. There were only three drawbacks: 1) The hotel is far from many of the activities that we wanted to do. 2)It is about 25 minutes from the LAX airport. 3)They charge $30.00 a day for their paying guests to park at the hotel. But, the hotel itself and the staff make you very glad you stayed there.

My husband and I traveled to L.A. with our college student daughter who was possibly looking to transfer to L.A.. The ... Marriott provided us with excellent service and a very clean professional enviorment. The only downfall is the parking in $30.00 a day not including tipping for everytime you need to get your car.

The second night that i got back to the hotel in the evening, there were two guys hanging out in the lobby, which obviously ... were not guests there. They were hitting on me and my friend and we felt very uncomfortable. They kept harrasing us and followed us towards the elevator. After we screamed at them to get away, then they left us alone but still cursing us out. The front desk saw everything but didn't do anything about it. Totally do not recommned this hotel, especially if there are only girls travelling.

Friendly, Clean, and Convenient
VanFan May 10, 2009
Impressive from the start with beautiful lobby/bar area. Desk/houskeeping/bar staff all could not have been more friendly ... and helpful. Room was very clean - some updating might not hurt as thermostat for A/C was set at 50 degrees (needless to say, not the right temp) and could not be adjusted. Not a biggee, a little warm over day, a little cool at night. Easy walk to many of downtown LA restaurants if you don't want to pay (high)hotel food prices. In fact, they give you a list of recommended restaurants, and maps of the area. Again, the staff and cleaniness made this a great stay. Would definately book again if I ever make it back to LA.
