Very Satisfying Experience
Mel Dec 30, 2009
It was a good choice of location for us within walking distance of Walt Disney Concernt Hall, theaters, and the new Catholic ... Cathedral. It's on the edge of Japan Town which we found interesting to explore. We had a problem with the hot water. When we finally called, the staff responded immediately, were very friendly, and helped us move to a new room since they could not resolve it right away.

Very attentive staff at the Japanese Restaurant at the garden level. Bar tender in the bar at the same level was very friendly, took good care of us, and was an interesting person with whom to visit. Fortunately, the bar in the hotel lobby served meals until 10pm which worked out well for us as we waited until after the theater to eat. The bar tender/waiter there really hustled.

Deceived by the photo slides
Unhappy Customer Dec 10, 2009
We were deceived by the photo slides of the Hotel Room. Thinking that we will be staying in a more stylish room, we went ... ahead to booked this hotel. However, when we got into the hotel room, we realised that its not what we see from this site. We managed to ask the hotel front desk, they mentioned that that room is an executive room. It was no where mentioned in the site. Tried calling the manager a couple of times. But not replies from him. What kind of customer service is that?

Adequate
Metro Traveler Dec 7, 2009
Adequate is how I would describe this hotel. It is very close to the federal buildings if you need to be in that area. ... However, the rooms are dated, they definately need some attention, the bathroom was uncomfortable in its layout. The lobby was very nice and the Japanese rooftop garden is a plus if you're traveling with a group. There is a parking lot directly accross the street if you need to save a few bucks on parking. The room rate was good compared to other hotels in the vicinity so if you need a fair rate it should work for you.

Great location!
Shirley Oct 22, 2009
Yanette, the receptionist who helped us on our check-in, was extremely helpful. Due to our flight, we arrived at the hotel ... with our bags much earlier than the check-in time. Our bags were stored for us and they called us in less than 2 hours that a room had been opened up for us. After traveling, that was MUCH appreciated. Plus the food and service in Azalea restaurant was great!

Bad customer service
Business traveler Oct 20, 2009
The room was clean and nice, but I had to wait 15 minutes to check in (with no one in front of me) while the one woman at the ... desk answered the phone. I had a meeting with a make-up artist with bags in my room, and it took 30 minutes for a bell captain to arrive. When I was heading out to my event one night, I went down to the self-serve parking only to find that the valets had parked about 5 cars in front of mine. I nearly missed the movie premiere I was in town for because of this, and no one even apologized.

Total RIP-OFF!! Go somewhere else Save $
Kevin Shin Oct 6, 2009
This hotel is total RIP-OFF! 1. hotel parking is $24 any time when you IN & OUT. there is parking lot right next to hotel ... but they don't have over night so You'll have to stick with HOTEL owned parking lots. (basically no choice but parking on hotel's) 2. Hotel charges $10 daily for Internet. now a days, every other hotel provides this for FREE I don't understand why this hotel is charging $10 for super slow internet service. 3. TV is analog old outdated, None flat small screen. Not many channels. Even $100 Holiday Inn has 38" LCD screen better screen. Definitely thumbs down! 3. Expensive breakfast & Room service charge. I've ordered $25 breakfast and management billed me room service + delivery fee + TAX = $51 on top of breakfast. (And this is not including TIP!) I've never ate this much expensive breakfast ever before. Even this breakfast is expensiver than DUBAI. Total RIP-OFF!* What the hack is delivery fee anyway?? Isn't it supposely included in room service? anyway room service charge is way too high! If you are looking for clean & nice/quite hotel, easy in&out. Please look for Mariott courtyard in Citadel or Holiday Inn express, They are MUCH MUCH better. This hotel is average but charge more than Ritz Carton Hotel. I will definitely not visit this hotel ever again.
