Great hotel stay. From fast and efficient check-in through check-out, everything was tops. The recommendations for dinner ... from the concierge were right on target. Rooms were perfectly clean. The food served for the business meeting I attended was excellent. All opportunities for service were very personable and attentive. Would have preferred that the Hyatt took the time to label the TV stations in the room TV (CBS, FOX, etc.). As an out-of-towner, without the station labels pre-programmed, it was challenging to figure out the stations. Not a big deal, but the only customer moment that this Hyatt missed. [...]

Two great restaurants. If you like Italian try "Enoteca Drago". Terrific wine list, personable service and great food. Highly recommend this one. For a steak house try "Mastro's". Everything you would expect from a top notch steak house without eating at the same old chains.

We were in town for a wedding so we were not able to actually partake in too many of the hotels ammenities. However, the bar ... is very nice and the pool looked awesome. Also, the hotel is right next to the Century City Plaza if you wanted to do some shopping or see a movie or grab some food.

Suzie Q Aug 11, 2009
I took my 16 year old daughter and a friend of hers to Los Angeles for a shopping trip. We chose Century City as we liked ... the shopping and location. The hotel was across the street from the Westfield Mall, 5 minutes away from The Grove and 10 minutes away from the Santa Monica pier- GREAT LOCATION!! The staff was great, rooms were nice other than the flat sheet verses a fitted sheet on the matress which drove me crazy due to the wrinkles. All in all, we had a great stay even though there was construction Saturday morning at a hotel next to ours.

MWU Aug 7, 2009
We've stayed here before, and while the location is very good, the hotel itself was more just okay for the price. This time ... the stay went very well (we're usually here for a week), and we have nothing to complain about: housekeeping was much better, the front desk was friendlier, etc. Now if they'd just do something about those internet fees... You can get free wireless in the lobby, but as that's also a major bar area, thats not always the greatest place to work.

central location
30-something traveler Jul 31, 2009
The hotel is centrally located--makes driving to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice, etc...very easy. Valet is convienent ... but pricey ($33/day). The Valets are exceptional--friendly and reliable! the hotel lobby and outdoor grounds are spacious and lovely. The hotel has an incredible gym, but again there is a surcharge ($20/day) Customer Service is lacking and inconsistant...Valet is exceptional but guest services needs improvement (conceirge could do better too. Small talk is fine let's stay focused). Example of customer service mishap: i heard a loud "drilling" sound coming from the room next door early one morning (6am) and called the front desk to inquire--is it the shower, pipes, etc? There was no apology but lots of confusion. In the end, the noise went away 30 minutes later...did not hear back from the front desk?! Overall--good hotel experience and very accessible for an L.A. vacation.

walking 5 minutes from the hotel to the westfileld mall was very nice--lots of high end shops and variety of choices for lunch or dinner at a casual outdoor mall.

Great Service/Average room
PA Traveler Jul 30, 2009
The staff was fantastic. The rooms were nice but not that well equipped. There were 3 very small drawers under the TV and 3 ... even smaller drawers in a night stand. There was a large closet, but only 7 or 8 hangers. We had to leave a lot of things in our suitcases. There isn't a coffee pot in the room, you have to pay for one. Parking is expensive $33/day for valet, $25/day or more to self park.

Attending conference with family Jun 21, 2009
I attended a 2-day conference and my husband and 3-year old daughter came along to make it a family vacation. Conference ... facility is excellent. Great attentive details were well put together at every aspects of this hotel. There are 2 computer stations for guests to do their on-line check in and print their boarding passes across from the concierge desk. Check-in staff was quick and professional when I ask to leave keys for my husband who will arrive later as I will be in the conference. They are also very friendly in letting us have an 2-hour late check out since the conference ends at 2pm. The most impressive service was the housekeeping staff. We asked for a crib for my daughter. They got us a brand new crib but neither one of the staff know for sure how to assemble it. When my husband jumps in to help set it up (since we are parents with a 3-year old so we know the ins and outs of the 'safety' feature of these cribs), they gave us a coupon for free breakfast buffet at the hotel for the next morning. It was a very nice gesture. Breakfast buffet was very nice and staff went above and beyond to make my daughter happy with her breakfast choices. Since the buffet has EVERYTHING but pancake, the waiter has the chef specially made pancake for my 3-year old when she said she would like that for breakfast. He didn't even charge us for it! This is service we expect from 4-star hotel, but still impressive when it is done in such a professional courteous way.

Nice Hotel , Expensive Extras , Ok locat
The realtor May 31, 2009
The Hotel is in an excellent condition , the rooms are extraordinary , the bathrooms are well kept and have marmol counters, ... balconies are available in most rooms , the only problem is that the use of internet inside them is very expensive as well as the room service . The public areas are well designed , theres an array of restaurants , bars and exterior spaces to spend a good time. The hotels staff is very kind and friendly . The pool area is superb , it has a fairly large pool and a very relaxing hut tub. A shopping mall is just a cross the street , beverly hills is 5 minutes away by taxi , sometimes the hop on hop off bus goes by the hotel . Take a shared shuttle from tha airport , it will charge you 14 bucks instead of paying for a taxi that would cost you 60 dls.

This hotel was aoutstanding! From the check-inn representative at the front desk to the valet parkers and the bellman, staff ... members went beyond the call to make our stay efficient and enjoyable. The adjoining rooms for us and our children and grandchildren was a perfect set-up, with double doors opening on to a vestabule. The kids could move easily between rooms without going out in the hall or disturbing other guests. The hotel was spacious and felt like a 5 star accomodation - at a very good rate. Valet parking at $33 per night was expensive.
