Friendly Staff

The hotel met all of my expectations from the greeting until the farewell from the staff. Only thing that will be considered a regret is not researching about the parking services and pricing. But overall worth the price for the comfort the room and staff provided.

Historic Building in perfect location

we really enjoy this hotel. Nice located and good price. Restaurant was not open. I would have been nice that website showed this detail as hotel offered complimentary breakfast which we didn't get. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Awesome

Staff was super helpful! Hotel was adorable with lots of character. Koreatown is a little outside of the city, but in LA it doesn't really matter since everything is so spread out anyways. Awesome restaurants in the area as well. I would definitely stay here again!

R Bar - cool speak-easy / dive bar up the street. Worth checking out for cheap bar bites, happy hour, karaoke, and bands. Make sure to look on the FB page for the password though!

Night in LA

Needed to book a hotel for one night, since I was going to move the following day to UCLA. I saw Hotel Normandie on a popular travel rating website, and the rating was pretty good (4 out of 5 stars). I was hesitant because the price was around $150-160 for one night, which I thought was kinda expensive. So I waited a few days on it...then it turns out they had a special 24 hour sale with 30% off!! So I ended up booking it for ~120. Great deal! The staff was very very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised. Since I was moving, I had tons of stuff lying around in the backseat of my car. We asked valet if the car is parked in a garage, they said no, but they would park it in a spot where the valet guy could see it. Also the valet people work 24 hours, and the lot has cameras, so it seemed okay. Next morning, everything was still there thank god. Totally worth the $30. Not only was the valet staff friendly and helpful, but also the front desk in the late evening and also morning. The hotel and room itself was very charming and cozy. It seemed like an old apartment building, which they converted into a nice hotel. Brick walls, wooden floors, cool tiling for the bathrooms, antique bathroom fixtures. The bed was AMAZING!!! Must ask them later so I can buy it in the future one day. Neighborhood seems sketchy when you're coming off the freeway, but it's actually fine. It's located in K-Town, which can have its not so great areas but the hotel is in an okay part. It's very well located for restaurants actually (that weekend after checking out, we happened to stumble upon EMC seafood and Kang Hodong Baekjeong, both of which were excellent if you're looking for a place to eat!!!!) I would recommend this for anyone visiting LA. Hopefully you'll get lucky with the 24 hour sale as well!

i went there for one night. The hotel is very clean and quiet. However, it is very difficult to find a parking around there, and the valet parking need 30 dollars.
