Hollywood Hotel - The Hotel of Hollywood near Universal Studios

The Ramada Hollywood was in a good location and the price for the time considering the emmys were about to happen was reasonable, however, there was a mustyness in the room that was undeniable after the second day. The room was newly renovated and in the beginning we were very satisfied but the shower was not for anyone who is claustrophobic. It is enclosed by a partial wall and there is no tub. Also, the vent seemed to have black dust or mold around it. After taking a closer look the second night of our stay. Good for a two night stay anything longer don't do it.

when i got to the hotel, it was in an ugly area! also my boyfriend and i waited an hour (even with other guests) just to be checked in. the bed did NOT look like a Queen. The room was kinda small. There was a minor ant problem. When i opened the mini fridge there was still a pizza inside from the last guest. Based on what i was expecting, i was upset at first. but the bed was really comfortable, the sheets were so soft and we actually got a tub. The breakfast was better than i expected, its a beautiful dining area. The employees were very friendly. When i think back to it, i didnt want to leave. The hotel is suprisingly nice inside for the street its on. i think it was a good deal. if they ever have that special pricing again, yes i would stay there again for sure. Home away from home.

This Hollywood Ramada was very business friendly. The room was very clean and ample amount of space. However the internet service in the hotel was poor. I was only allowed to log on about half of the time and I was usually kicked off the internet with in 15 minutes. This was very frustrating. The area was not very clean or safe.

Although the rooms were great and the location to certain night club was convient. plus we were just down from the freeway. the front desk was not very nice, housekeeping did not replace cups or condiments.

I'll recommmend this hotel to my friends.However,if it provides free packing,it'll be better.

I didnt have acess to an ac unit. The wall unit only blew HOT air. Which meant I had to open the sliding door during HOT showers. I would have felt more secure if I didnt have to share a balcony.

VERY quiet! VERY firm mattress! GREAT value! Pretty clean. Very reasonable daily parking fee. Hairdryer & frig in room with shared balcony. Great water pressure with hot water. VERY close to Children's Hospital & another hospital, so quite convenient if family had patient there. Downsides were EXTREMELY strong smell of disinfectant/bleach in room, lobby, etc. Could not adjust themostat in room as it was considered cold in LA so heat stayed on. Very basic breakfast buffet options & understaffed but was included with room fee. Some peeling wallpaper in areas. Still could NOT beat the price!!!

We went to LA to see the Kodak Theatre and Graumanns, which is only a few miles away, but traffic means this is a half hours drive. Once you get there, there is really cheap parking, and a lot to see. The noise was the kids in the next room, which is a random event, but maybe more frequent at a bargain hotel... The parking was nice, a secure lot with an attendant, required in this somewhat diverse neighborhood. Breakfast very nice, good selection and quality.

Staying at Ramada Inn is not that bad. It is near all major LA attractions so it does save a lot of driving time. BUT they do charge for in-hotel parking every single night, which makes the cheap hotel price bump up to a not so cheap price.
