Less than I expected
No phone in the room, lukewarm fridge, room had a very musty smell, staff seemed somewhat indifferent to our stay. Parking was great! Liked the convenience of the location as well. Seemed to be centrally located to all the attractions that we were planning on visiting. Overall, I give it a score of 63%.

Good value hotel
Entrance to hotel is impressive however lift was out of order and we had booked an accessible room so getting to our room was a little problematic. Once in room though it was comfortable enough for a short stay, however bathroom was NOT accessible.

Good Location but Noisy
I must admit it is in a good location and great value but it needs some updates in the rooms which can still make it a historic hotel. There are no phones lol. The windows are original and very noisy u can here everything through them. I had an end unit on the 2nd floor on the melrose ave side and it was the noisiest room i have ever stayed in. You can hear traffic at all hours but one plus is you can see the HOLLYWOOD sign perfectly from that room. All in all a great value and needs some updates. Elevator does not work and by previous reviews it has been inoperable for years it seems.
