Basic comfort, great price
This hotel has vintage charm, the basic necessities and a great shower. I will definitely stay here again because of the price.

Unique & Historical
Clean, friendly and a great value. Hotel has free parking in the rear and is an easy 5 minute walk to Paramount Studios on Melrose. It is not near all the activities of Hollywood Central area and you will need to drive to that area, but we had no problem finding parking. Staff throughout the day was friendly and there is a cafe 2 doors down. Found it convenient to other areas of LA.

HOLLYWOOD HISTORIC HOTEL, LOS ANGELS
I HAD BOOKED 3 STAR HOTEL, BUT IT HARDLY DESERVES 1 STAR. NO PHONE IN ROOM, NO RESTAURANT, NO HOTEL SECURITY AT NIGHT, NOISY EVEN AT 11 PM, CONSTRUCTION WORK GOING ON UNTIL MIDNIGHT. AT 10 PM , HOTEL MANAGER SAYS THAT NOISE FROM MOVING / CONSTRUCTION WILL STOP IN 15 MINUTES, BUT IT CONTINUED UNTIL MIDNIGHT. IT STOPPED ONLY AFTER 3 CALLS FROM MY CELL. THE MANAGER HANGED UP THE PHONE INSTEAD OF STOPPING NOISE FROM THE ROOM ABOVE US. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. WORST HOTEL EVER STAYED.

Good location but stinking rooms
it is good location in Beverly Hills and Holliwood Rooms very compact and stinking smell everywhere No lifts and narrow staircase But if concerns the price and location- for you to choose.

Enjoyable stay at this "historic" hotel
Hotel is old with character & charm. Our room was adequate and the parking lot is very nice.Great location & best value in LA! The room needs to have 2 chairs and more or brighter lighting. The staff were all very friendly & helpful except for the rude evening fellow. The management must do him & the guests a favour to let him get another job as he clearly didn't want to be there. Overall, we liked this hotel & would stay here again.

My husband, daughter & I went for a quick 1 day trip to Hollywood. I booked this hotel and wasn't looking for a high end hotel, but I was hoping it would be a little more up to date and cleaner. This hotel is definitely an old hotel and needs so revamping & TLC. It wasn't a horrible experience but I don't forsee us ever staying at this hotel again.

Basic Hotel in a Good Location
I stayed at this hotel while visiting my daughter who lived a few blocks away. The location was great - very close to Hollywood and nice restaurants. The room was clean and the hotel was very quiet at night. Some of the staff was friendly - others were not so much. It is a very basic hotel - but for the price - it worked for me as a place to shower and sleep

Hollywood Historic Hotel
I went with my sister. It was worn down and didn't have an elevator, ice machine or phone in the room. The room smelled like body odor and didn't feel very clean. When we came home the evening we were staying there, our tv had been turned on, and we didn't do it. And the topping on the experience was finding a roach the size of a mouse scurrying from my luggage!
