Nice Hotel - Lousy Neighborhood

The hotel was nice, clean, and inexpensive with a friendly staff. The neighborhood doesn't have much going on, but if you rent a car, this is a good place to stay.

You can walk straight north to Hollywood Blvd. The neighborhood is a little dodgy, but not too bad.

Hollywood Historic Hotel-a hidden secret

I took my daughter to see the Hollywood sights - Walk of Fame, Universal Studios, etc. It was the perfect location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing was the ants. There were several in our bathroom sink area. I am sure that if we made a stink about it they would have gotten rid of them. I definitely suggest this hotel if you are looking for a place to lay your head for a few nights.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

The Grove is down Fairfax avenue. Lots of shopping, food and a movie theater. I also stumbled upon The Wild Oats Cafe right on Melrose a few blocks from Paramount Pictures. Wonderful breakfast spot.

Great place

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The rooms facing melrose, although a lil noisy, have great views . The staff is great. Wish they had an outlet in the bathrooms.

Really very surprised

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was clean, very affordable, and the staff were very friendly. You could tell it was an older building, but you cannot beat the price. The noise from traffic was intense on the front side of the building, but I didn't plan to sleep in anyway. I would absolutely stay here again.

gem of a hotel

the best part of the hotel was the location which was right on melrose ave. as you start you have a few local stores and restraunts but further u go better quality and fancier businesses would reveal themselves. close to the freeways which opened up all of L.A to you the free parking was a life saver a good size lot right behind the hotel security cameras where everywhere the staff was nice and friendly each room had HD tvs with digital cable and very fast wifi. there aren't really any extras u get a bed tv bathroom and parking but then again what more do u need? the price for a room was very reasonable. the only downside was i did notice ants in the bathroom then again i had the window open so if they just came in i couldn't say.

Great find... CHEAP and CLEAN!

I attended a friends Graduation party in WeHo, and there was nothing even near this close, for less than $125-150. a night! This was a true great budget find! Simple, clean, unpretentious. Free Parking. No phones, but everyone has a cell phone, so you just call the 800# to get the desk.

Enjoyed stay

We found the Desk Clerks pleasant and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. There is not a elevator. We knew this in advance. It was not a problem for us as we didn't have much luggage. All in all a nice place to stay.

Great Historic Location to Stay

I was really surprised how nice this hotel was for the price. Flat screen T.V.'s. Huge comfy beds. The only problem we has is that when we left food in the trash can over night, we woke up to a ant infestation. They quickly took care of it. The building was built in 1927, so there is no elevator. Great location. Great price.
