Cheap hotel in Century City

This hotel is totally unremarkable. There is nothing special about it at all. I would only recommend it for business travelers on a budget. There is nothing in the immediate area to see or walk to. In my case, I had a 7am meeting in Century City, so it worked well for me. But, I would not stay here otherwise.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Don't use the hotel's expensive valet parking if you know you'll be out by 9am. You can find nearby street parking (across the street) that is posted as one hour parking starting at 8am. Just make sure not to park in a posted area requiring decals that's for the locals only.

Unbeatable location for the price

I drove some kids to UCLA basketball camp. They stayed at UCLA and I stayed in this hotel. It was a perfect stay. Close to UCLA, nice neighborhood. Parking did cost $15 a day. Bed was so comfortable. Very quiet. I loved it.

Pass this up!!

When we arrived, there was no where to park, we had to use valet parking, which I did not expect and was inconvenient, as we were in and out alot. Our late check-in was fine, not overly friendly. The room was just OK, after entering the room, you had to go up stairs to get to the sleeping area, so you could not bring the luggage cart all the way into the room, there was inadequate space to hang clothes, the carpet was stained, the faucet in the bathroom dripped, and there were only towels etc. for three. The queenbeds were absolutely dreadful, very hard, not one of us slept at all, this was myself and my husband and two teenagers. The air conditioner was loud and stinky. There was no pool, sauna amenities at all. The continental breakfast was meager at best. We were attending graduation at UCLA, so we were able to check out late at 2pm. I expected at least comfortable beds and cleanliness after a long drive, not tipping the valet every in and out, especially when I did not know there was a compulsory valet parking, period. No recommendation here.

nice small hotel

This Holiday Inn express was a very comfortable small hotel, only three small floor plan stories. In hotel garage. Gorcery store across street with excellent prepared food. Friendly staff, a safe feeling. Room was clean and quiet and large. The wireless internet service was free and I always had a strong fast connection, better than any hotel I have been in! It had the feeling of a family owned business. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Drip, Drip, Drip

The air conditioner unit was on an inside wall above the bed. It dripped all night long. I called it to their attention in the morning and it was fixed, but started dripping again that night. I noticed that the air conditioner unit in the breakfast room dripped also and the maid had to bang on it with a broom. Also, our door was not secure. It had too much wiggle room in the jam. It could have been easily kicked in, even by me, a frail female. The staff was friendly.
