LAX Airport Hotel
I stayed at the Embassy Suites at LAX Airport because I was returning from SEAsia late at night and wanted to get to a hotel asap. The Embassy Suites made that criteria. It is among many hotels in the area designed to meeting travelers needs for coming or going from LAX. The rooms are large and give you room to move around. The rooms are relatively quite but you will hear airplanes landing and taking off pretty late at night and during early morning hours. The rates are very competitive and you get a free breakfast/cocktail hour. The hotel also has a restaurant which is unusual from Embassy Suites hotels. But this is critical since there are really no decent restaurants near the hotel strip at LAX. Without a car you are forced to pay for a taxi to and from the restaurant. The hotel has parking but you have to pay a fairly significant rate ($21/night) which is unusual for Embassy Suites. If you need to go to down town LA during rush hour it will take you at a minimum of one hour. If you are going on the 405 north or south this hotel is a good choice and very easy to get on. As usual, LA traffic especially during the long rush hours is not good so make sure to allocate a lot of time to get where you are going. Depending on your needs this hotel is a good/average hotel that provides good value.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Although the hotel has a small restaurant, it is only ok, and there are no decent restaurants close to the hotel. Therefore, unless you have access to a car you will need to take a taxi. If this is not an option do not select this hotel.

Easy LAX stopover
Hotel is very close and convenient for LAX. Free shuttle, nice rooms, made to order omelets for breakfast and manager's reception with free drinks and munchies. It's not the Ritz but for the cost it's a deal.

Great Getaway
The hotel and it's staff were great. Location was good and the value for the money was super. Overall the rooms were clean. There breakfast was very well organized and enough items to choose from. Evening cocktails were good and had a wide varity to choose from. The Business center was acceptable, however it should be expanded. Too many parents were using the PC's as Electronic baby sitters. It would be worth providing a room for teens, to play their games, and watch movies not in the Business Center. Bathroom however did need more work, Ceiling appeared as though someone had sprayed coca cola on it. Everything was alright.

Saturday night stay
After a 14 day Panama Canal cruise debarking in Long Beach we spent the night before our flight back home to Atlanta. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised at the quality of this property. The staff , from the desk manager, to the bellman were friendly and made us feel right at home. The managers reception, the made to order breakfast the next morning and even the shuttle were first rate. This hotel has been renovated in the past 6 months and is a hidden gem in a sea of overused hotels in a very busy area. These folks set the standard for how a hotel should operate. Five Star service at a reasonable price.

Last night's stay.
Just returning from a 4 week vacation, LA was our last short stop before returning home. The location of this hotel was excellent as we wanted to be near the airport. All the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The extra perks really made it worth while staying there and would recommend it to anyone who needs a place near the airport. If I had to say anything negative about the hotel was that there was some traffic noise from the street, but quickly forgot about that with the comfort of the bed!

Great Base Camp
I stayed at this hotel because I was attending a convention at the Marriott next door. The Marriott was overpriced, even at the con rate. The Embassy Suites was a great deal with a fridge and microwave in room and breakfast included. I missed the managers reception both nights. The breakfast was good but the Sunday morning lines were too long and they were out of plates and silverware. There was no mention that the pillows and comforter were feather, which I am allergic to. I spent a very miserable first night tossing and turning, unable to breathe. The next day, they switched them out. My room was over an alley where there was lots of loud partying until 4 am Saturday night. All and all, it wasn't a bad place to stay. Good value for the money.
