Great price and good location
The front desk couldn't find my reservation and took about two hours to finally find it and check in.

Super Nice Hotel
The Custom Hotel was super clean, very nice and contemporary. The room was perfect and the service was top notch. We will definetly stay there again on our next trip to LA!!

"Nice Hotel"
I thought the Hotel was nice but after you pay for the Hotel cost plus the $22.00 per night parking fee,you can probably find a nicer Hotel in a better location.

Contemporary, minimalist and fair value
The Custom hotel is not the lap of luxury, but it is a nice hotel that is reasonably priced. No major complaints. The rooms are not luxuriosly furnished, but they are nice and clean with a contemporay feel. There is no tub in the bathroom (only a shower), but that was the only thing that I noticed was missing from a typical hotel room. The valet is approximately $20 per night, but the valets were very friendly. Not far from local restaurants and they have a hotel restaurant that was pretty good. Very close to LAX and Venice Beach.

Although I didn't eat at them, there seem to be some nice restaurants in a business district just a few blocks from the hotel. There is also a park nearby.

Visit at your own risk!
The mini bar, and the air conditioner was broken...and they could never fix it. The attitude when we checked in was too bad, we are understaffed and people are extending their stays.

Great for short trips
if you're in the L.A. area for a few days, this hotel will serve all your needs! for me the proximity to LAX was very important, and customs hotel is a very short drive to it. Venice beach is not too far as well, which makes a difference if you're looking for a place to visit in a short time! over all this place is good for the money you pay for it.

LAX Close
The best thing about the Custom Hotel is that it is very close to LAX, but you pay less than the Century Blvd hotels. At least I did on my stay. They're shooting for hip, and they mostly pull it off, although there's only so far they can go with what they charge. There's a pool/nightclub area that played music that I liked, alt rock stuff. The music doesn't shut down until 1:30 so if you're a really light sleeper and need to turn in early, you might want to be careful. It's like a lot of hotels with nightclubs in that sense, such as the Sheraton Four Points in Culver City. Room was very clean, nice wall-mounted flat screen TV, but sparse in that going-for-hip way. One wierd thing was that they have their spa facilities split between two floors, I think two regular hotel rooms on different floors converted to use for a) treadmills and elipticycles, and b) lifting.

There's a good, modestly priced Italian restaurant on catty-corned from the hotel (across Lincoln and Manchester). Italy's Little Kitchen, I think it's called. Either call for reservations or go off hours because it's not very big.

Very Stealth
For the amount I spent for the room its a great value. I only wish they had a shuttle to LAX a little earlier. I will take them up on the fly and park specials
