Very nice, not incredible
We were pleased with our stay at this hotel. However, for the price, it was mind-blowing or anything. It's really the location (and probably the name "Beverly Hills") that you're paying for. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about either--except, of course, the location.

Not very pleased
We were not very happy with this hotel. They seemed understaffed and we waited for service almost constantly. There was virtually no hot water for any shower we took during our 3 day stay. There was some issue with the phones that every hour on the hour throughout the entire night the phone rang.

A great place to rest and have fun!
The hotel, staff, and service were very good. We loved the location, as we were within walking distance of lots of restaurants, shopping and Rodeo Drive! The ammenities were great, but our room and bathroom were rather small. To open and close the bathroom door, we needed to move the night stand. Great comfortable bed and good shower, though.

Great location
This was a nice hotel located about 20 min walk from the main Beverly Hills shopping district. There were plenty of nice places to eat within an easy walk of the hotel, most being on the same side of the street so no need to cross, we tried Jacopos for pizza/pasta and Island diner for great nachos. All but one of the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpfull and were very accomodating allowing us to check in at 9.30am. The room was spacious and comfortable and it had a decent sized bathroom. It is a bit of a distance to Hollywood, Universal etc but they have a town car service or taxis across the street making transport no issue. To give an idea we paid about $100 US (set price) to Universal as a round trip in the town car, you could do it cheaper by public transport but it would take a lot longer plus it was nice to arrive in a bit of style and comfort.

Entertainment tip:
Not Applicable
Take the No 7 bus to Santa monica Pier, 75c each way. It leaves just a short walk from the hotel door on Pico Blvd and drops you right in the middle of Santa Monica. Just ask the driver, they were friendly and all too happy to let you know when to get off. There is a supermarket about 10 min walk from the hotel on the opposite side (towards rodeo drive ) which is good for supplies too. Farmers market and the grove (one big complex) are about a $25 US cab ride (inc tip) away and is worth a visit especially at night but note it closes at 9pm, except the cheesecake factory which is a great place to eat at the grove end.
