One night stay
Spent the night of black friday there.. Rooms are out dated with mirrors all along the ceiling(sort of creepy). The rooms was a good size, booked a room with a king size bed. Checking in was fine & staff was nice, they also rememered to call a cab for me to get picked up.. Area wasn't the best and everytime i opened the window it smelt like weed!! But i would stay there again if i had to.

big bedroom
My kid said to me it is a nice hotel because there are two king size bed in the room and two basins in the bathroom. I think it is better if there is iron and microwave. Anyway it is a hotel in downtown and have buses to downtown in nearby streets.

Better than i expected
I came to this hotel expecting the worst but the room was a good size and it was pretty clean... The only issue i had was the location... The neighborhood was a bit dicey...

Hot, Hot Time in LA
Orbitz took my credit card and I thought I paid. Then I had to pay again at the hotel. The hotel said it was standard procedure and I wasn't too unhappy since it was less than what was quoted on the Orbitz site when I reserved. This hotel has been refurbished, loved the mirrored ceilings although my kids wondered why... The AC just didn't do the job. The windows don't open so there was no way to let the hot air out. On a cooler day this would have been a great stay. On a hot day, it was 90 in the room at 3 am and cooler outside.

When I arrived, I was ...
When I arrived, I was given a room directly across from the office, which reeked of incense, had no ventilation and the air conditioner didn't work. It also had, rather than a shower, a roman bath, (a three foot deep rectangular tub, at the edge of the bedroom area) the faucet of which (more of a pipe protruding from the wall) dripped incessantly. Since I was in LA to visit my son , a USC graduate student who was critically ill, and the desk clerk (very nice) had promised to move me to another room in the morning, I put up with this inconvenience. However, the inconvenience only increased through the night, as arguments in the office area between customers and the office staff were more incessant than the dripping pipe. After being with my sick child until late, and finally getting to sleep even later, I was awakened at 8am by the TV next door at a decibel level unimaginable had I actually been in the same room with it, not to mention the shouting in the parking lot. I was moved that morning to the third floor (better), to a room with a shower (better) in which the cold water faucet didn't work (worse), and the hot was scalding (even worse). On the other hand, at the vanity, the hot water faucet didn't work. The AC, however, did work, which was important, so as to drown out the constant noise. Had the family that runs this hotel not been so sweet, and had I not been so preoccupied with caring for my son, I would have made a stink. The bottom line is that I didn't feel very safe at this hotel, and I felt that it was very poorly kept. The clerks were always polite and sweet to me. And I have great compassion for people who live very different lives than I. BUT, safety is an issue, and truth is a necessity. I will say one thing: the sheets were clean, and the beds (both) were comfortable.
