NOOOOO
For a quick two night stay in downtown LA, this hotel was exactly what you paid for- mediocrity. The towels, wash cloths and comforters ahd yellow stains- not sure what this mystery substance was. When I requested fresh towels and wash cloths, they told me I had to wait for a few hours for house keeping. Who does that? Towels are one of the most important necessities at a hotel. I was NOT pleased. The location is really good but the hotel is not. Do not stay here. You'll be sleeping and showering with roaches. AND! for you gadget people- the "wifi" is non-existent" It does not even work.

It's a hotel where you stay and sleep. Enough said!
I saw some negative remarks about this place on here and I can't figure out why except for the simple fact that what I might find OK isn't for some. On with my own review....It served it's purpose for me and my fiance. We had an event to go to at the Staples Center and decided to just spend the night. The price wasn't that great but it's all about location so I guess that's ok. I'd stay here again. The room was clean, it was comfortable so yeah it was good for us : )

Wish I could afford more
Cheap Crashpad Free Parking
More or less what I was expecting. Not very nice but hey it was $69 in the heart of downtown and it came with free parking. Some efforts of updating have been made. Did'ne expect the refigerator & microwave in the room. that was a plus. More renov. details need to go.Staff although ...odd... was accommodating. We needed a no frills bed at a cheap price and that is what we got.

Would You Like A Hairdryer With That?
We were in L.A. for the Pac-12 Tournament and for the $, America's Best Value was indeed economical. And similar to prior reviews, the room was cleaned well (except for the floor which resulted in black-bottomed soles). But after that... watch out! You had to check out the remote control for the TV from the front desk; you had to check out a hairdryer from the front desk; and the advertised continental breakfast was quite sparse in terms of offerings. They do provide free wi-fi, but on average we needed to re-boot three times an hour because the signal was lost. The gentleman at the front desk also did not know how to direct us to the North on-ramp for the 110 Freeway and he lives there! Although they have HBO, there were no other cable channels except FoxSports West. Despite the affordability, we will not choose to stay there again. We would rather pay more to get more in this case. It's your call... but we believe you would do better elsewhere.

Awesome last minute booking
I booked this room 3 hours before I checked in and it was super easy! The room was perfectly clean and there are wood floors and a mini fridge. I would definitely stay here again!

rock'n'roll half
Good place for the price
we stayed at this location for the rock'n'roll half-marathon and it was a convenient 15-minute walk to the convention center area. rooms were decent, a few friends (bugs) but beds and bathroom were clean overall. staff was attentive and allowed us to extend checkout by an hour. if you're looking for a cheap place that is close to all the other fancy joints and don't mind staying just over the freeway, i would recommend this inn.

Great location for the price
This was a very good value. We were just blocks from the Staples Center and only a few more from the Music Center. We were able to see our Ball game and the Play on consecutive nights and get a good rest inbetween. This will be a great spot in a few months as the new management is making every effort to upgrade and renew the rooms. Will definately stay here again.
