great, convenient hotel
The Long Beach Westin was my hotel of choice when running the Long Beach half marathon in October 2008. It was close to the Long Beach airport; close to the convention center and close to the race's starting & finish lines. The heavenly bed & bathrooms were wonderful, especially after the run. Very comfortable & clean. The Starbucks coffee in the morning was also a great treat! They do have a parking lot, although there is a $14 daily fee to park. This, however, was worth it, to me. Many of their guests at the time were runners like me, and the staff was friendly and encouraging.

Very Pleasant, Comfortable, Professional
The Westin Long Beach Hotel was a very pleasant, comfortable, and professionally run hotel. Without being overly ostentatious, the hotel provided all the services and amenities needed for a very pleasant,effective business stay.

Good Service - Attentive Staff
Westin Long Beach is a well run hotel with a very attentive staff. They were very friendly and clearly wanted to be helpful to new comers to the area. I would definitely recommend it.

Parkers Lighthouse with a view of the bay is a great evening dining option. 5-7 minutes away by taxi.

Great spot
The hotel is in a great location. 30 minutes from LAX airport, major highways, and downtown long beach. Short distance from beaches. The staff was friendly. Great help with early and late check in/out.

Great Location, Relaxing and Peaceful
We arrived on a beautiful sunny day and our room had a great view of the Long Beach harbor and Queen Mary. Tbe bed was great. The shower was amazing. We did not need our car once we arrived. We were in walking distance of numerous restaurants, clubs and bars. After spending the afternoon and evening at the harbor we had peaceful nights sleep. It was so quite we felt like we were the only people on our floor. Loved it!

Great service and very comfortable!
Even though we had not arranged for valet service, we still got it. I had not been able to locate our rental car within the self-parking garage, and our flight was about to leave. I notified the valet and he promptly retrieved it and brought it up front for our rapid departure--thanks.

Great Location, Comfortable Rooms
As others have said, you definitely cannot beat the comfortable beds and numerous pillows each room has. Our room was quiet and very relaxing. My husband and I had a wonderful stay!

I was surprised to find out there were several familiar restaurants within walking distance, such as Denny's, Taco Bell/Pizza Hut, Subway, McDonald's, and Hometown Buffet too. My favorite of the fast food ones was "Pollo Loco", a great-tasting/non-expensive Mexican restaurant. There is also a Walmart nearby with a McDonald's in there too, and of course, at least two different StarBucks within blocks of each other and not far from the hotel either. For those people who spend most of their money on accommodations and who are looking for more reasonably-priced meals, there are certainly many options available near this hotel.

Pleasant
I had quite a pleasant stay at the Westin. The location was excellent! It's close enough to everything, but far enough not to get the traffic and noise of the very busy areas. Amenities were very nice; didn't have a chance to use much, but if I needed a longer stay I certainly would have. The food was wonderful! Great chef whoever it is. I got a room for the weekend during a special, so I was very pleased with what I got for what I paid.
