Average hotel that needs someone to clean it
This hotel is very conviently located near the Long Beach airport. The hotel lacks cleanliness and the resturant food was substandard. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Other hotels are better for the same rate
The room are an ok size, however the restrooms are extremely small. I did like the balcony and having 2 beds. I called a day before to get directions to the hotel, told them I was coming from the 105 and right away they said, " well why in the world would you even do that?" I told them thats where I was coming from and again they said "well thats just not reasonable" The conversation ended up to be longer than it should of and I had to explain to them why I was coming from that direction, then they said "oh ok" and finally I got my question answered. There is no doubt that person was nosy.

Great Stay
In town for sons graduation from CSULB, great location close to campus and the airport which helped when picking up incoming family. Great having resturant in house for early mornings and late evenings.

Convenient
Perfectly serviceable room, clean, quiet. Wi-fi was spotty. Very convenient to airport. Not a destination hotel, but was fine for our purpose, which was a quick trip to attend a family event in Laguna. Bathroom door hard to open from the inside, which caused a moment of terror.

Holiday Inn Long Beach-Airport Hotel
When my sister and I arrived at the Long Beafh airport, we used the "hotel direct" phone to call the Long Beach Airport Hotel to send a shuttle to pick us up. After 35 minutes, we called again. I had told the person who picked up the phone that we were at the Long Beach airport (1/2 mile away), but they sent the shuttle driver to LAX. The shuttle arrived 5 minutes later to pick us up. The hotel is unusual in that it is round and it is a little confusing to get to a specific room. The carpet was dirty and and it appeared someone was attempting to clean it as they had a yellow barricade over it which took up much of the hallway. The hotel is in a mostly residential area and the only commercial places within walking distance are a shoe store and a restaurant, which had good food, and a gas station on the corner where noisy motorcycles and trucks entered and exited all night long. The traffic noise could be heard on the 12th floor with the windows closed. After putting our luggage in our room, we called for a taxi and went to Downtown Disney for the evening. We returned via taxi and were picked up by a shuttle in the morning for our trip to the Cruise Ship dock.

Excellent Staff !
We flew in to Long Beach to attend a wedding. [...]We were greeted by an EXCELLENT staff member when we checked in. He was friendly and helpful and personable, everything one looks for when staying away from home. The hotel itself needs a 'facelift' but a display in the lobby shows the fabrics and plans for the impending renovation.Our room itself was clean and comfortable. I did notice that scraps of paper that were on the 3rd floor hall carpet when we arrived on Friday were still on the carpet when we left on Sunday.Maybe they should include a new vacumn in the renovation plans :0)The parking lot was full so many other travelers must find this hotel a good deal.

Go eat breakfast/brunch at the nearby Marriot. It is delicious and in a beautiful setting and a two minute drive from the parking lot.
