Colonial Pool & Spa Motel

When we arrived to the hotel it was very easy to check in and they checked us in very quickly. When we entered the room a strong smell of chemicals was in the air. As we explored the room we found the sheets not to be very clean, the floor immediately made our socks black and the bathroom had an ungodly odor. The odor in the bathroom smell as if someone was using the bathroom all the time. The bathroom was very spacious but because of the odor we were unable to use it. The customer service was great but because of the quality of the room I would not stay in this hotel again.

Avoid this motel at all costs!! The room is very small and does not smell good, but mostly its the location!!! You will not feel safe there at all, you cannot walk around the area at all because of all the gang members loitering around. The safest I felt was when we were in the car going home!!

very simple, minimum accommodation, no cross ventilation

The room was very comfortable, hotel had lots of late night customers coming and going. Not the best looking crowd. We arrived Saturday night at 10:15pm. We were told the pool closed at 10pm. On Sunday evening we attempted to use the pool amenities and was told the pool closes at 8pm on sundays very disappointing. Police cars zipped up and down the street every 5 minutes. I would not recommend this hotel to others. Was told by staff to move are vehicle from a parking space so that the staff could have a clear view of all hotel rooms. On a positive not Long Beach Beaches, Shopping centers, and entertainment within 10 miles of hotel.

This place was relatively cheap, but it turned out to not be worth the savings. The place is an older motel with some week attempts at updating. The plumbinmg had problems, resulting in a disfunctional sink and toilet. There didn't appear to be any cleaning staff, and the room was not cleaned from one day to the next. The office staff were freindly and helpful.

Far more filthy than i could have thought.Not at all worth the amount i paid. Rude desk people. Random alarms all night.

Our check-in and check out went very smoothly. The desk clerk even let us check in early. The room was clean and towels and linens were fine. For an older motel it was in good condition. The value for the room was great. The neighborhood was not very good but the motel had someone on duty all night and the motel was enclosed. We did not use the pool or the jucuzzi. There was also free internet use, a daily paper, and continental breakfast available to the customers.

The Colonial Pool & Spa Motel is located in a not so safe area, the rooms smell like cigarette smoke, even in the non-smoking rooms. The place seemed not too clean, some hairs were found in the bathroom. The women staff were very helpful, the man was kinda grumpy and didn't understand some English. Next time I will pay more to get a more comfortable room in a safer area.

The Colonial Pool and Spa did have a very nice pool and spa. It was very well maintained and pretty. The location was central in terms of close proximity to the Metro rail line but it was a rather seedy neighborhood. I spoke to some locals after checking in and they agreed. I had a small smoking room with a queen bed, the carpet was dirty. The cable was fuzzy and I think I got a virus from their internet connection. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The free breakfast was adequate. Overall a cheap alternative if one likes to swim.

The staff in the hotel are very cooperative and friendly.
