Best Western Hotel At The Convention Center

Great location, but plan on adding $10 per night to park at hotel. Not much choice since most street parking is metered with periodic closures for street sweeping. You do get free breakfast though.

Get rid of the scented cleaning products! It ruins the experience for people who are sensitive to scent. There were also 2 plug-in scent-releasers in the small lobby that I almost gagged on. Not necessary & are actually filled with chemical oils that coat your lungs. If not for the unbearable scents, the hotel would have been a really nice experience b/c the room was aesthetically pleasing with a comfortable bed. And the sheets had no scent- a plus. Nice breakfast, too.

the room was ok ,not what I expected. I stayed at the hyatt 3 blocks away 3 weeks ago and thats were I'm staying next time

This hotel was in a decent location to the convention center (about a 10 minute walk). They had an impressive breakfast with regards to the type of hotel it is, and the staff was nice and helpful.

I stayed at the Best Western on 1st. street in Long beach, ca..I loved the help and friendliness of the staff as i arrived and checked in. The room was nice, spacious and had a great variety of toiletries. The hotel complimentary was excellent along with the friendly helpful staff at the dinning area. The location was great and convenient to many restaurants and shops.

I was helped by the manager (Anna) at the front desk. She could not have been friendlier or more courteous. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. I also appreciate that this is a 100% SMOKE FREE hotel, so no disgusting odors lingering around the rooms. There are really no great views from this hotel, but its Long Beach, so there's not much to see anyway! All in all I would Highly Recommend this hotel for the price. I have stayed in rooms for DOUBLE the price, for similar accommodations. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were fantastic...the girls at the front counter could not have been more helpfull...truly appreaciate their friendly and full of information for your stay....

Continental breakfast was good. Desk staff were friendly and helpful and even kept my luggage behind the desk on Wednesday when my boat from Catalina got back (I stayed at this hotel on Sunday). I would not recommend walking from the hotel to the Catalina Express Landing. I did it but it was a long walk. The beach and the boat harbor are both a quick walk (10 minutes) from the hotel. I was disappointed that I didn't accrue BW points for my stay, but they don't allow them for third-party reservations.

Fun shops and restaurants in the same block. Short walk to many other downtown club, restarants and shops and the Pike. Walk to convention center. Short walk to free buses to all tourist facilities and harbor. Ample parking at hotel. The hotel exceeded all expectations. The one single hint of a negative was a fragrance throughout the hotel similar to Lilly/citrus. Nice clean fragrance but I have an allergy to Easter Lilly and felt a twinge of the allergy eyes. Brewed coffee available 24hrs off lobby. Windows open in guest room for wonderful Long Beach fresh air. Room A/C kept room very cool on warmer days. [...]

I booked this Best Western based on the location to the Convention Center. As it turned out it was even closer than described. I walked right down Linden Ave for 2 blocks and there it was. The hotel was more than I had expected, so was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The room was as nice or nicer than other 5 star hotels I have stayed at in Long Beach on previous trips. The price I got on [...] was great, and even better than the price the hotel offered those attending the event at the Convention Center. Breakfast was open early and closed late, so I was able to come back from my event to have some food. The gym was very nice which I used almost every day. The pool is indoors, and not very large, but good for laps. The underground parking was nice to have. The hotel said they charged for parking, but it came up on the [...] page as "free", so the accommodated me without discussion about it. The staff was very pleasant, and helpful. Also, loved all the great cafes and places to eat that were all within 1-2 blocks. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, so was nice to walk around in the evening. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Enjoy!
