Excellent Inn

The main lobby was quite inviting and luxurious which left an impression of a quality lodging. But I was given a digital key to the room that was NOT CREDIT CARD like most hotels. It was like an USB flash card thing and thus necessitated the use of key ring instead of wallet. It is not a complaint but something to be aware of. I found the hotel amenities to be satisfactory. The room with two queen beds were somewhat of an "efficient" size, meaning, slightly larger than a tight room. Good refrigerator, OK microwave oven, and there was a coffee maker. They provided excellent shampoo and conditioner and lotion which left an impression of an upscale inn. The towels were not quite fluffy but OK. My room had a granite sink and it was quite nice. My room faced the main road and thus traffic noise can be heard. They do have rooms facing away from traffic if you had to have that. For the price I paid, I find this place to be an excellent value!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Lots of eating places at short distance. I saw Chick A Fil A was nearby. Fresh and Easy grocery store was about 1.2 miles which was handy as we could stock up the hotel fridge !!

Perfect!

We opted not to stay at a chain hotel for our 7 day visit to California from New Jersey. Laguna Hills Lodge is a great place to stay. Property and rooms are cleaner than clean. Bed, 8 fluffy bed pillows and linens were always comfortable and fresh. Bathroom and dressing area immaculate. Staff is super friendly, professional, and helpful if you need it. Pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were great. The laundry room for guests was like doing laundry at home, it was so clean. Nice complimentary breakfast every morning too. Location is great. Close to anything you need. Overall, Laguna Hills Lodge is home away from home.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

You could walk to the Laguna Hills Mall from this property but it is safer to drive. Also a short drive to artsy Laguna Beach where you can spend the day at the beach, shop, and dine al fresco. We also made the 30 min. drive the historic Riverside, CA.

A real gem of a hotel

Visiting from NY I stayed at the hotel for the first time and found it to be truly outstanding. Very friendly staff, very clean and extremely well maintained grounds, buildings and rooms, excellent included free breakfast, free wifi, etc. I'm puzzled why anyone would rate it only 3 stars. I wish every hotel was this reasonably priced and as excellent in all amenities. Walk to Chick-Fil-A and nearby restaurants. Convenient to the 5 Freeway. Perfect.

Second visit this week. Once again, convenient location, nice grounds, decent breakfast, good value for the dollar. And the discount price made it even more reasonable.

Excellent value for the price

This is a clean modern facility that's surprisingly affordable given its location in south Orange County. It's right off the freeway, has attractive grounds and a decent breakfast. I've stayed here often and never had a bad experience.

Location, location, location!

I enjoyed the kind staff, fair price, clean rooms and excellent location. The lodge's continental breakfast was served with boiled eggs, fruit, yogurts etc. The swimming pool and gym were only fair but Laguna beach was at only jogging distance. Why bother excising at the lodge.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

They are right next to a major shopping mall (Macy's, etc.) and one of the largest Wine retail stores I've ever been in - Great place to pick up the client gifts.
