Laguna Beach Inn

This is the 5th time we have stayed here, we love the location and the value is great. This was the first time I was disappointed in the condition of the hotel. It's looking tired and run down. They need new comforters on the beds and our room smelled like mold. With a little TLC this could be a nice place.

Our experience was wonderful. The location is only a few blocks from main beach and centered between Dana Point and Newport so either way we went was only a short drive. The staff was friendly and helpful although the first day we asked about renting snorkel equipment and the gentleman working had trouble finding a place for us to go to. We ended up buying snorkel equipment much cheaper at Walmart ($30) versus renting equipment locally ($50 per day). Not the hotel's fault though so does not affect our rating. The pillows and bed were so cozy we wanted to take them home. After being exhausted each day from our outings this was the most comfortable bed to snuggle up in. The only factor we struggled with was the humidity because even hanging our towels for an entire 24 hours did not get them dry. But, no problem as the hotel staff is quick to trade them out, no questions asked. Breakfast was always fresh and neatly placed for us to help ourselves, which we did and we never felt rushed to get in and out. Overall this was a perfect experience.

On prior visits we had a great complimentary full breakfast at a companion hotel 4 blocks away. We also had complimentary wine and cheese in the evening. Both those items are no longer a part of your stay. Instead, they serve a contenental breakfast and it isn't close to the former offering. The room was clean and comfortable and the location about a mile and a half from the heart of town is good, but I can't say any more.

This is a small hotel, very clean and comfortable but a little small. Parking lot is a little tight. I'd stay there again.

Hotel staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered. Even though the inn does not offer many amenities, the staff are incredibly helpful in telling you where the best places are to go in the area as well as being able to purchase tickets to places and events. Hotel has access to many private and public beaches also just across the street! Must stay here

Booked room a few hours before we needed to stay and got decent price for the area. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful, gave us a choice of room with somewhat of a view or room with large jacuzzi tub. We picked jacuzzi tub room only to realize while taking a romantic bath, a clump of hair from the drain had not been cleaned out from previous guests. Needless to say, we were pretty grossed out so our romantic tub session turned into a shower scrub down session. Other than that it was a nice place, room was a little tight.

I go to Laguna every other year for a family reunion. I had never stayed it the Laguna Beach Inn and didn't know what to expect. It was awesome! I did not expect to have such a huge spa tub. The people that worked there were wonderful and personable. The morning buffet was yummy and it was a short walk to Diamond Beach. I had such an amazing time.

Very cozy hotel with very helpful and polite staff for a stay in downtown Laguna, a walk across the street to the beach.

While this was not the most spacious of rooms we stayed in on our trip, this is a nice motel property with friendly staff in beautiful Laguna beach. We especially liked being able to borrow beach stuff from reception free of charge (saved us getting beach towels!).

Nice rooms, great staff, and we love Woods Cove--the beach across the PCH.
