Great Time!

We had gone to laguna last year for a visit while staying at LA and decided to go to laguna for a wk this year. We absolutely loved staying la casa del camino. Reasons: walking distance to the main beach (1-2 miles my guess) but at the same time far enough that you're not in middle of the commotion. Another great reason, the beach is literally behind the hotel. I can't say one bad word about any of the staff, they were all super friendly, always trying to do the best they could to please you! Parking was included on the daily fee of $14 along with the breakfast. I could say 20+ more things of how much I enjoyed staying here, but I'm limited. There would be only 1 or 2 things to improve that I won't mention it here bc it's not worth it, and they don't have a pool but the beach is right there. I would in a heartbeat recommend this place to a friend!

Chasing away winter

We love staying at La Casa del Camino, because of easy access to the beach, downtown Laguna Beach, and day and night access to The Rooftop. We prefer to enjoy the rooftop at quieter times of the day, not during the bustling night activities. I love to pore over the newspaper on the rooftop in the morning. Even though the rooftop is packed at night, the noise doesn't keep us awake.

Fabulous staff

It's what you might expect from a refurbished building that was built before WWII. BUT it is very clean, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room was comfortable although I was in a non-view room. Great breakfast buffet with excellent coffee. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed at the St. Regis in Laguna and actually prefer Casa for the location right on the beach, character and charm of the Spanish-style architecture, no-attitude staff, drop-dead gorgeous clientele (especially on the rooftop), amazing breakfast patio and truly magical energy throughout the property. Literally cannot wait to go back.

Maybe we got the one weird room...

This place is super cute from the front, outside. Unlike most hotels in the area, the front is street-facing since there are a couple buildings between it and the beach. Still, it is situated VERY close to stairs down to the beach. Great restaurants closeby (mexican across the street, White House down the street, and the rooftop bar is excellent -- definitely go for happy hour and watch the sunset). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Onto the weird. Maybe it was just us, but our room was very dark and a little creepy. There were plenty of lamps and an overhead light, but they weren't very bright and the walls were painted this rustic yellow so the whole room seemed dark and eery. Outdated air conditioning, but it worked so can't complain. Mattress was one of the worst I've ever slept on and the sheets were not exactly soft. We only stayed 1 night, but I certainly did not sleep. We did happen to look into other rooms that seemed much more cheery...

White House restaurant, great, cheap food, good for lunch or dinner. They have live bands almost every night.

Friendly staff

The hotel room was smaller then we anticipated but the staff made up for any disappointment. Friendly , going out of their way to make sure we had all that we wanted. From the valet , Ivan ???? To the front desk staff , all were a joy to deal with. Rooftop patio was fantastic, restaurant food delicious!

Very cramped. Nice place to visit not to stay!

This hotel is in a great location. The roof top bar is amazing ! And food is good, the rooms are small and cramped . And my room got serviced one time in 4 days I had to ask for toilet paper. Would not recommend staying there. But would go to restaurant and roof top bar.
