Good Value/Far Drive from SD
This was our first time staying at a Rodeway Inn, so we do not have anything to compare it to. We were pleased with the size of the room, which included all the ammenities we needed: TV, fridge, microwave, iron, hairdryer, & we bar sink. Unfortunately there was no elevator, nor pool, and the continental breakfast could use some improvement.

Good for the price
We came out here to visit family. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was very nice. We had a problem with the tv and they quickly moved us to another room in order to resolve the problem. Their wifi was very good, which is very important to my husband who has to do business even when we travel. Their breakfast consists only of donuts which run out quickly. They also don't give you lotion or conditioner, but I always bring my own. Overall, I was pleased. I have stayed at other hotels in the area and this one is one of the least expensive. The others offer a better breakfast, more amenities, and have usually been renovated.

Denny's is right across the street and I-Hop just down the road. Great breakfast and quiet area.

Clean and quiet
We needed a motel that was close to a medical facility in that area. We were pleased to find exactly what we read in the other reviews, that it is a clean and quiet motel with nice sized rooms. It is close to shopping and eating establishments.

The Good and the Bad
The room was appropriate for the cost we paid. It was quiet. We have two specific complaints about our stay at the Rodeway Inn in La Mesa. The first is their non-response when we reported that the coffee pot in our room was broken as we left for the day. That evening when we returned they had not fixed/replaced the coffee pot (it was obvious since the reservoir was still filled with the water from our morning attempt to make coffee). The second complaint was the limited number of donuts provided for the continental breakfast which was to last until 9:00. By 7:30 the donut tray was empty on both days.

It's a clean room
Since all we wanted was clean bed to sleep in it fit the bill nicely. It was on our way after a late arrival in San Diego Air Port. We had a breakfast to go to in the AM. The slight smell of cigarettes in the hall had me concerned as it was advertised as a non smoking hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness in our room. Smell is huge for me!

Great Thanksgiving Stay
I frequently travel to the greater San Diego area to visit my son and his family. I have recently been looking for the greatest bargains and decided to try this hotel. Since I use the hotel mostly for sleeping and showering, this was perfect for the price. It was within easy driving distance of my family and was clean and quiet.
