Not a smoking good deal
The first room to which we were assigned wreaked of smoke, although it was a non-smoking room. The second room, also non-smoking, also had a heavy odor of smoke. We remained in that room but went to the store to purchase an aerosol and stick air freshener to make the room liveable. Although, it was conveniently located to San Diego State University, where we attended a basketball tournament, we would not stay at that motel again.

BEWARE - MONEY HUNGRY MANAGEMENT
First, the front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. However the management is not. I was in town to visit my mother in a nearby hospital. They changed my rate from promised rate and threatened to kicked me out of them room if I didnt pay them $11 more dollars a night. The room was overpriced anyway. I found a room nearby from a competitor for $30 less a night. The management is money hungy and lack customer service and retention skills. STAY AWAY.

The Days Inn La Mesa, Ca.
Overall our experience with this hotel was good. It was a plus having a refrigerator and microwave especially traveling with a child. For most of our trip we were out and about, so we didn't really stay in the room. The WiFi was also a plus. We had a pretty good experience with our stay and would recommend this hotel to friends!

nice and comfortable hotel
I spent all the time I could on the beach. This time it was a better location (good neighborhood) of a hotel and better room set up than last time.

Affordable San Diego Stay
We went to San Diego to go to Sea World. Had a great time. At the hotel all the staff was nice and helpful. We needed something cheap and fast that was available. If we were going to go back to San Diego I would stay at Days Inn again...

not a good experience
This was a family vacation in San Diego and we hoped to save money by staying at this motel. It was not far from the city and conveniently located by the freeway, so the location was fine. The room was not ready when we checked in. It was not cleaned by 3:00 the first day after we went to play. We were locked out by key changes while we were gone twice. The pool was very small and the breakfast minimal. The room was comfortable enough and the kids had fun. Wouldn't recommend it for business travel as the internet went down constantly. Not a very positive experience.
