Family-friendly, beachfront resort in near Kellogg Park
As its name suggests, the La Jolla Shores Hotel sits right on the beach in La Jolla, a suburb of San Diego. The Hacienda-style property offers guest rooms with garden, coastal or oceanfront views and private balconies or lanais. The hotel is also adjacent to Kellogg Park, a seven-acre public beachfront park, and features an outdoor heated swimming pool, in-room massage services, tennis and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Perfect get away
We stayed in a room with the coastal view. enjoyed coffee out on balcony every morning., glass of wine at night. Had dinner at the resturant which was wonderful. Little shops and resturants outside of hotel were all in walking distance. There is a park right next to hotel with so much going on, great place for the entire family, or just a stress free, relaxing time.

Fantastic location!
We loved the weather and the atmosphere. Just wish things did not close down at 10pm. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was awesome! Could have been better had the airline not broken the zipper on my luggage!

Great View of beach and ocean.
Excellent experience. The View was great. Convenient to go Kayaking to the 7 caves at La Jolla Cove.

mom traveling without kids
Location, Location, Location
This was our first time vacationing without our kids. The location could not be beat. The hotel was good and suited our needs. The room was not as nice as I had hoped it to be but was sufficient.

A winner in my book.
The hotel and staff were very nice. We had a garden view room which was very nice and relaxing. I can't say anything bad about La Jolla Shores. I would stay there again as well as recommend it to everyone. Clean, well maintained and right on the beach. What more could you ask for. A+++++

There are many good places to eat. The very best is the Corvette Diner in SD and Ruby's on the Oceanside Pier.

The Best Family Vacation Place
La Jolla Shores is as good as Hawaii without the flight, expense or wear on the kids from traveling. You cannot beat the convenience, beach access or the price. The staff is so NICE. The beach is awesome. There is a little park next door and good food at the hotel or within walking distance. You can do a million ocean activities right there. It is my favorite place.

With little kids, if restaurants are a challenge, you can walk to pick up take out and bring it back to the hotel patio areas to eat. No mess in your room, the kids can run around and play and you can enjoy the evening outdoors.

Great location
For sure going back to La Jolla Shores Hotel with the kids next time. The location is great. One of the worst things to do in SD is look for parking at the beach. No worries here. It doesnt have alot of lux stuff, but it has exactly what you need. I do wish the hotel had a fridge in the room.
