Very limited contact with staff, location okay for planned outing, price within range. However the room was dirty and used food containers were left in the room. The old saying seems appropriate: "you get what you pay for." Next hotel price was
about double this cost. Will probably use that option when we return.
Skiing Northstar by myself. Wanted close and low cost. Room large, clean as a hound's tooth, new carpet, table, desk, plenty of hot water, heat controlled via thermostat. Walk to restaurants, bakery, movie theater, even beach park on the lake if
you wanted. Old motel by well maintained.Neal, the owner was very helpful.
Stayed here because it was the cheapest rate for the weekend. Basically, you get what you pay for. If you are just going up to Tahoe and need a place to sleep, there's nothing wrong with Stevenson's. A major plus is the well maintained hot tub,
which feels amazing after a day on the slopes.
Really nice for the price. The rooms were old, but clean and pretty big. The staff was so friendly and laid back. I definitely recommend this hotel for young people who just need a cheap place to stay! If you're looking for luxury, this isn't the
place for you—but it's cute and comfortable. I loved staying at Stevenson's; I'll definitely be going back. :)

Rosie's Cafe is a great place to eat in Tahoe City just a little ways down the road. Pretend you have a British accent the whole night, it makes the experience that much better. And try the zuchini bread! delish!
We went skiing in Squaw valley and stayed at Stevenson's Holiday Inn for one night and we were very pleased. We wanted something cheap and not too far away from the slopes. Since we were tired after a day of skiing we just arrived to our room in
the evening, took a shower and went to bed.
If that is what you are looking for, then Stevenson's is perfect. The manager is very nice and the rooms are simple but clean (so if you want something fancy, then this is not the right place).
We will definitely go back!
The couple who runs this place were really nice, they said we got such a great deal on it because there's a storm the weekend we were there and there wouldn't be many people booking. The place itself isn't fancy or anything, but it was spacious,
with a nice bathroom and a minifridge. I was definitely a little skeptical to go here at first based on the reviews and the low price, but we got more than we expected, and it was pretty nice.

Here's a nice burger place right next door, and two doors to the right of the hotel, there's a laundromat to dry out clothes.
