Residence Inn by Marriott Irvine John Wayne Airport/Orange County

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a quick trip to California. We had one queen bed with a breakfast nook. The tv was on a desk separating the sleeping/living areas and it swiveled in order to be seen from either room. The workers were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. Waffles, cereals, muffins, yogurts, toast/bagels, and even some Asian choices. Definitely something for everyone. Our trip consisted of visiting family so we were not going to be going to any of the "normal" California attractions; however, if we would have it is slightly out of the way. That is the only complaint though everything else was great.

I loved this hotel because the price was great and the location was good too. It was close to the freeway and they have the biggest mall ive ever seen near the hotel.

only complaint is the bed was not as stated in our reservation. expected a queen size but only had a full size. also, the fold out bed was subpar but what fold out bed isn't? otherwise highly recommended.

It was a great hotel to stay in. Good location. We visited Hollywood, Disneyland, Santa Monica and San Diego. Not too far from these places.

Spacious room with kitchen. Wireless internet was free but varied in quality -- sometimes fast, sometimes slow and often dropped signal. Free breakfast, and some evenings free social hour with food, beer, wine. Free parking (a plus!), but watch out for the tree sap.

This place has it all for travelers who like to make their hotel rooms their new, temporary niche. I like being able to return to a room where I can feel completely comfortable, from making our dinner in the kitchen to hanging out in our spacious room or outdoor patio. The hotel has just finished their renovations and has a very nice, clean, and modern look. The outdoor patio with fire pit is a fantastic place to sit and read (day/night), the daily complimentary breakfasts are pretty good, the lobby has a lovely seating area with television, and there's a pool and small gym. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is not a "just a place to sleep" hotel. I love staying here because it gives me an "I live here" feeling.

My wife & I were there to visit our son at University of CA at Irvine. The hotel is about 5 minutes from campus. We also used the opportunity to visit Huntington, Newport & Venice beaches and San Diego. Lots to do in SoCal! The hotel was extremely well maintained. Room and facilities were spotless. The breakfast bar met our expectations. There was a minor problem, though. For the 4 mornings we were there, every day we experienced a wait for some item or items to be replenished. Overall, the hotel was great. One of the nicest Marriott's we've been to! We'll definitely return!

We were meetingup with family from out of state who came to Disneyland. We have a 1 year olf so we needed a seperate bedroom and a small kitchen. This worked out perfectly.
