Atrium Hotel Orange County Airport

As a place to stay while visiting areas around SoCal, it was okay. There was trouble with the reservations [...]. The rooms had burned out lights and missing amenities that were eventually corrected (we stayed for 6 days). The resturant staff was nice. I had trouble every night when returning to the hotel and trying to connect to the internet. I had requested that the rooms be adjoining as my mother had recently broken her hip and I wanted to be nearby, however, the hotel never followed up on moving me into the room next to hers.The rooms were a little worn with lose faucet handles and burn holes in the bedding. I honestly cannot recommend this hotel without attention to details taking place and the front desk staff trained better (they could not answer a lot of basic questions). I travel regularly and work in the cruise industry, so am noting things that we expect our guests to want.

The Atrium is right across the street from John Wayne Airport and therefore very convenient. It is not a "new" hotel but appears to be well kept and clean. The room was fine and the in-room amenities were the minimum. There is parking which is charged per night, but includes in and out privileges. Because it was a quick trip and only one night, I did not use the restaurant or any other conveniences which were available at the hotel.

Hotel was very convenient to the airport. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. Restaurant and bar closed at 9 PM, I went next door to the Hilton to find food. No ice machines or vending machines. I went to the gas station next door. Internet would not work in the room, neither wired nor wireless, but the wireless worked in the common areas. Iron gates around the hotel could have been used to secure the buildings, but they were all unlocked and mostly standing open. The area did not appear to have a crime problem. I would stay again because of price and convenience.

This was the 2nd time we've stayed at this hotel. The first time was a mixed bag (bad mattress, out of date furniture, limited bar hours, no poolside bar which is heavily advertised on their website). This time things seemed much better, except for the pocket door to the bathroom. The door had come off the track long ago and it appeared someone had tried to fix it, with limited sucess. It was nearly impossible to open or shut! We were in town visiting family, so we spent a lot of our time away from the hotel. The poolside bar was open two of three nights, appeared we had a new mattress in our room (a little hard, but improvement over last visit), and the staff was amazing. We arrived 6 hours before official check-in time and they were able to accomodate us. Hotel appears to be within short drive of Disneyland, many beaches, Knotts Berry Farm and endless shopping/restaurant locations.

staff was mediocre, hotel spent more money on the lobby making it feel hip and cool (gross strawberry scented air and tacky glass everywhere)when they should have spent the money updating they're beds (worn in bed pads and nasty flat pillows), and cleaning the floors, replacing the light bulbs!

Walking distance to John Wayne Airport which let us fly in the night before for our 3day stay in Disneyland. Simply took the hotel's very convenient shuttle back to airport to catch the Disneyland express. Tropical themed pool which our granddaughter loved. Clean rooms, pleasant staff. Breakfast was great in their restaurant. No complaints.

Standard room was adequate. Pool small but had great ambiance with the outdoor bar and cabanas.

Hotel staff was friendly but the room that I had was a little dated ... needs to be renovated soon.

Hotel staff was excellent. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet was very good and reasonable for Orange County. Would definitely stay here again.

I was NOT very happy with the my stay here at the Atrium. Website stated resort style hotel, which it is NOT. The pool, cabanas and outside bar was great! Thats the only "resort" part of the hotel. The food and bar service was great, besides the bar closing early. oh and the hot tub on the webiste but no where to be found onsite! The rooms were old, outdated, and smelled funny. Beds were horrible, not comfortable at all!! Our balcony view was the parking lot!!! Room just didnt seem clean to me, sheets, pillow cases were 2 different shades. The air conditioner didnt work well at all. Money needs to be put into upgrading rooms! Staff was friendly/welcoming and onsite Enterprise rental was AWESOME. Hotel management needs to update REAL pictures of the hotel on the website so guests know exactly what they are getting!!!
