Not bad

Check in was super fast and the front staff was very friendly. I thought the bed was too soft for my comfort. Also, the clock and lights were unplugged. All the doors were quite loud when closing. Finally, the a/c unit does not do fan-and-a/c at the same time, so instead you get an a/c which turns on and off constantly all night. I found it annoying. I would stay here again at a discount, but probably not at full price.

Indian Wells

I asked for Palm Springs and signed up for this unidentified hotel, not knowing how far from Palm Springs it really was. It's a long drive into town, and I wouldn't recommend it for that reason. There's not much to do in Indian Wells. The hotel is nice looking and the staff friendly. The room was standard fare and clean. It had a heated pool with a view of the mountains. A breakfast buffet was included. The hotel was originally build by Desi Arnaz (I Love Lucy#. Although the hotel is renovated, the "bones" of the hotel are old. For two nights, the guest on the floor above got up several times during the night, and I could hear them walking #i.e. pounding) across the floor. The floors really creak! I complained to the front desk and they called the guest, but nothing happened. I was moved to the top floor for two nights and it was better. Ask for the third floor rooms!!

Inexpensive getaway!

Booked the hotel at $59 a night. Lovely lobby area with banquet facilities, a loung and restaurant...all bringing you back to the days of Lucy and Ricky! Very helpful staff and nice pool area overlooking the golf course. Happy hour with free appetizers and continental breakfast included. Room could use updating...but not terrible. Across the street from the famous Vicky's restaurant...also the Renaissance Esmeralda with lovely facilities and places to stroll. Just down the street from La Quinta with lots of restaurants and shopping. Best deal in the desert!

Old and mechanically noisy

The pictures do not match the rooms. I was next to some kind of machinery room that sounds like a gasping huge fan and motor, all night long. The decor rather sad and outdated, an era that has long-passed. It is just very old and worn. This is hardly "a resort" any longer, it is simply standard fare at a hotel. There was nothing "deluxe" about the breakfast that was included but it made paying the extra charge for amenities that did not exist a little easier. The very loud 1940's band in the lobby which made checking in "inaudible" fortunately finished by 11:00. The ceiling between the upper floors was very thin and I could every move and "activity" of the participants. I realize that I got a budge deal, but I did not get what was pictured and a king-sized be turned out to be a smaller "double" bed. The pictures, throughout the hotel, of performers now all dead, was less than nostalgic. The pictures of the rooms need to be accurate and the amenities, an extra charge of $22.00 as a "resort" are sad and lacking, if present.
