Really Needs a Refurb

I used to stay at this hotel all the time when my kids were younger (they're grown up now) in the 1990s early 2000s and we loved it here. I was very disappointed this time because the rooms were in terrible condition. The chair's linings were hanging off them and the couch too. I felt that when I was closing the curtains they were going to rip. The bathroom was very nice. The TV was fine. The view was really nice and the room was spacious. I felt for about $200 a night I'd get a room that was not in miserable condition. The staff told me that their owner (it's a franchise) has not put any money into refurbing and it really shows.

Disappointing for a Hyatt, but they made it up. Kinda.

Maybe I'm used to hotels in Vegas for about the same price or less, but the Hyatt was subpar. Our room was dirty and had stains on the bedsheets and hair in the bathroom. Complained and got a new room, great. This room also had a stench in the corner and I think someone had previously vomited there. And there were gnats tied in spider webs next to the vent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and even waived a bunch of fees for us and gave us some hotel credit. We got a cabana with the hotel credit which was nice but our reservations got cancelled and the cabana was not ready because we didn't show up unitl 3pm, even though we had it from 1-6. Another minus point. The hotel is very pretty and nice with accomodating staff but things just didn't work out for us as expected from a Hyatt.

Fancy, Friendly & Relaxing

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells on one of the weekends that Southern California actually got rain!!! This meant that we were inside a lot, more than planned, and our experience was exceptional! The staff were ALL so friendly and noticeably went out of their way to ensure of comfort and happiness; from the lawn maintenance crew & house keeping to the check-in/out assistants & the wait staff, all were attentive, polite, friendly and more than professional! The ambiance of the hotel is remarkable and the experience we had at the outdoor lounge under the heaters next to the fireplace was next to none!

Great holiday stay!

When we arrived to our room after requesting and double checking that it would be feather free, it wasn't. Housekeeping changed it immediately and was apologetic. The staff gave us great treatment. We used the gym and pool, felt no need to leave the resort which we were aiming for. Was unhappy with the salon, felt very rushed. She didn't offer a water, no wash, and no style. Basically a cut and blow dry for twice the price of my regular salon. However the front desk did not hesitate to remove the charge from my bill so I was pleased about that.
