BEST WESTERN Huntington Beach Inn

Great location at a reasonable price! We upgraded rooms so we had a great view of the ocean. The hotel is within walking distance to great restaurants!

Tired and needs a room renovation, breakfast awful, noisy heat and air-co.

Here's what I liked about this hotel: The location is its best point. Across the PCH from the beach, two blocks up from "The Strand" and many restaurant locations and some retail shopping, and the room was clean. The cost was very reasonable. Here's what I didn't like about the hotel: The room was smaller than a typical hotel room (although this a minor consideration considering the location and you're probably here to spend time at the beach); the room-top hot tub was shut down which they didn't mention when I booked the hotel; the front desk staff was unhelpful. For example, I called front desk b/c my room phone had the "message" light flashing and I did not know how to retrieve. The woman at the front desk said, "I don't know how to retrieve messages."

The Good 1) Two blocks from HB pier and shopping 2) Free Parking (no security) 3) Ok view from the 1st Floor (Three floors total, but BW will reserve certain rooms for deal websites, meaning the ground floor) 4) Breakfast with coffee every morning 5) Gym (sad one but it's available) 6) Housekeeper ran us down when we checked out to give us our phone charger A++++!!!! The Bad: 1) Rude front desk people. No 'hello welcome to...', just 'what do you want? let me get back to my laptop.' 2) Room just was not as clean. ie floors, walls, towels, coffee maker, bed, sheets. Everything felt like it had a film on it. 3) Bit far out from the freeway. If youre not planning to hang out at HB pier. try something closer to the 405 or OC airport. nicer hotels for similar pricing. Final: I wouldn't stay there even if i was hanging out at the pier. there's a nicer 4 stars by SNA. it's close to the beach, however, views from only the third floor (more expensive). I like that they gave me my charger at the end.

This is one of the few hotels right on the beach, near Main Street. The others are either really expensive or dive motels. You can walk across the street to the beach, or walk to the shops, restaurants and the pier. There is a small spa upstairs, but they make it tough to go up there casually, as you have to give your ID to the front desk to get access. That was kind of strange. I'd totally recommend getting a room with a balcony, as the view is great! The continental breakfast is also really good. Not the same old with a couple pastries and coffee. Theirs has a really nice spread.

Well since I didn't stay in my room too much....I didn't mind that the hotels view from my patio was of a fenced in oil well pumping its heart out..... It made the wine experience (and we made sure we had no glass containers)on the private spa visit that much more enjoyable because the view was of an open sky and starry night....so that much was great...the service from the young man that checked us in was fabulous he is an excellent model for great customer service and I work in retail customer service HR and I should know. You should promote this young man before he has a chance to be stolen from your corporation.
