the hotel is pretty nice. this one was not as nice as some of the others i've stayed at before. somehow seemed like less than the sum of the parts.
main thing: the room was too dark even with all of the lights blazing. i kept looking for 'the
other light switch'
staff was courteous. desk chair was pretty uncomfortable but the bed was extremely comfortable.
paying an additional amount per day to have wireless was a bit much. especially since the rooms are already priced on the high side
lobby not very exciting within cold setting.
maybe the hotel is designed for the night nothing can be seen.,
hated a paper cup for the coffee at the lobby.
Room not that exciting and my bathroom v smelly. But did not have time to change only made
the request and nothing happened.
I will not go back there again. Other w hotels are much better kept and more pleasant.
Unless you are a 23 year old who doesn't mind being treated like garbage by a just out of high school staff don't stay here! I've stayed at over 10 W Hotels around the US with positive experiences, I'm a gold SPG member and the issues at this
place got me annoyed enough to post this review. The bar and pool area at the top of the hotel is closed to hotel guests unless you are friends with the door bouncer, period. They claim there's a separate owner for this area of the property. Since the hotel is situated on Hollywood Blvd there's lots of noise every night and movies are constantly being filmed on the street making it hard to park. Speaking of parking, its $40 a night. I will say that the rooms are nice and the place is lovely but it's just really a whole scene there that is to be avoided. Try another Starwood property.
