Motel 6 Hollywood

Rude, uninformative check in staff. Parking not always available. When it is it costs extra. Internet broke for an entire day. Not even shampoo in the bathroom, Possibly my worst two nights at a major chain hotel.

No Frig,A/C did not work,No Micro,WiFi did not work 95% of the time,Apartment next to Motel had a bunch of drunk nut cases yelling all night.not a place to bring kids too,try a motel not in the same area.

I was in town for business and literally EVERY other hotel was booked in the area. I reserved the last room at this Motel 6 as well. Basically, I just needed a bed. Room was clean and fairly quiet. The area isn't as bad as some reviews would suggest, though. For what I paid, it was definitely worth it... and being in the area made my life a little more convenient for a few days.

if you are on a budget this is the place to stay very close to everything what more could you ask for

I stayed at the hotel for convenience. I had a morning meeting in the area. When I pulled up there were about 6 vagrants hanging around outside. The parking attendant told me he couldn't handle any more cars and I'd have to park around the block. It was about 10pm and seemed very seedy in the area. He let me leave the car as I registered at the front desk. In the lobby there was another group of pretty scruffy looking folks just hanging out. While I waited at the front desk, two drunk guys came in, one in drag and started hustling me. Talking about my nice looking purse and offering to bring my luggage up to my room for me. Pretty creepy. The desk guy just ignored them. I begged him to please let me leave my car parked there and not have to venture out on my own to park around the corner and walk back in this area by myself. He agreed to let me do that. I've traveled everywhere and often. This place made me very nervous. Lots of vagrant type people around. The room was decent and it was actually very quiet through the night. I would not stay there again though.

If you've stayed in a Motel 6 or Days Inn before (and enjoyed it), you'll be happy with your stay here. For the price and location, there isn't a better deal in W. Hollywood. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly, the neighborhood safe and well lit (at least on the days we stayed--Thurs-Sun). Numerous food options are within a two block walking distance, including pizza and diners for those stumbling out of bars as they close. Parking is $10 and is on a first come, first served basis, but even if the lot is full, there's a public lot less than a block away for the same price.

We were looking for an overnight stay near The Magic Castle in Hollywood. The hotel was within walking distance. The hotel was absolutely NO FRILLS. When I say NO FRILLS, I mean nothing...no hairdryer, no iron, no lighting other than florescents (which are ugly and do not make anyone look good)...the bed was ok. NO ice machine, except in the lobby, which we were on the 3rd floor. Needs to be updated.

Best room rate for the area for sure. Very convienent to everything that you may want to see. Room was clean, very plain. But if you are looking for just a place to sleep, this is good. If you do not get there early enough the garage located at the hotel will fill up. They will direct you to another parking garage located 1 block away. Kind of a pain. Could hear neighbors as if they were in the same room.

I was only in Hollywood for two days. I won't lie, I wasn't overly fond of it. Considering all the glitz and glam, the area itself isn't all that nice. Nothing bad happened, I just didn't feel safe as a single female on my own at night, hence, I was back to the hotel around dusk. Luckily the Motel 6 was great, big comfy bed and big flat screen TV. My room was basic, but I'm travelling on a budget, so is what I expected. It was clean though and had everything I needed, which is the main thing. The front desk staff weren't the most helpful, one was alright, but the other two I spoke to seemed as though they just couldn't be bothered. Hollywood wise, I did one of the tours, which I'd deffinately recommend. You get to see a lot of the area and learn a lot about it. They have all different one's as well, so can pick one to suit you. I also went to the Hollywood Museum which is just off Hollywood Blvd. It was great! Only $15 entry and has 4 floors of stuff. If you like movies, it's an awesome museum! Around Grauman's Chinese theatre is fine, lot's of tourists. Further along the Walk of Fame though, you enter into strip club and tattoo parlour territory. Having said that, the hotel is just off from the boulevard, so feels that bit safer, however, even on the 4th floor, I could still hear the nightclubs from the street, so if you're a light sleeper, take earplugs. Overall I was pleased with my stay, though I think I would explore more of LA if I were to go back.
