Good deal
Easy close to everything and clean. Hike to Griffith park or watch the blvd for interesting people.

Ok place to stay in Hollywood
Stayed one night to explore Hollywood. Pros: Next to metro station one stop away from walk of fame, chinese theater, etc. Great pool, free parking, close to universal studios. Microwave and fridge in room. Cute deco in rooms. Felt safe and secure. Cons : Beds were hard, no free breakfast, room was clean but floors made my feet dirty (needed to keep shoes on)

Ralphs grocery store across the street, you can buy breakfast foods for the morning (the onsite restaurant charges $12 FOR BACON AND EGGS). tHE ROOM HAS MICRO AND FRIDGE SO EASY TO HAVE CEREAL, MILK, MICROWAVABLE BREAKFAST SANDWICHES...

great value retro motel
Free wifi and parking in Hollywood so easy to get around and a nice room for a good prce. The staff were friendly and thoughtful, they gave me a room further back from the road. Deocr was quirky and the rooms were comfy, for a mid-range hotel in a great location with parking I would definitely recommend the Dixie and come back there when next in LA!

Central location.Great location only 5 mins to the Famous Hollywood Blvd Theater.Clean comfy.Free intenet savings of $14.00 a day anywhere else you would have to pay.Free parking anywhere else you would pay $20 a day.Best place to stay for a great price.Ive been a repaeat customer already over 5 times!

Not that comfortable
The hotel is in Thai town. All you have is Thai food in the neighborhood... Restroom doesn't feel comfortable. It has a bad smell. And towels don't look very clean. Only has one washer and one dryer in the laundry room. You have to buy detergent and wash clothes yourself. Not very comfortable overall.

Okay
The best thing about this hotel is its location, a short distance south of Griffith Park with easy access to the 101 freeway and major streets. It tries to be a hip boutique hotel but mostly misses. Also missing: reading lights, seating for two.

weekend in Hollywood
The hotel was clean, easy to find and close to all Hollywood attractions. My biggest issue was the hotel faces a very noisy Hollywood blvd (which can't be changed) but the steel doors have no weather stripping (you can actually see the light coming in all the way around them) which made the inside of the room extremely loud. A conversation in the parking lot sounded like it was happening inside the room. I actually got to the point of taking the mattress off the spare bed and pinning it against the door with the chair in the room to quiet the noise. Aside from that the beds were very firm (which they always are in affordable motels) but doable. Were it not for the fact that it was quieter sitting in my car in the parking lot than being in my room, i would definitely recommend. As of now, i would not go back.

Pleasant Surprise
The rooms were recently renovated, it was a pleasant surprise to see how clean and comfortable it was. Not directly in the action, but the metro costs only 1,50$ and it takes 2 minutes to get to Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Preetty good for your money
It was a pleasant experience, very nice reception people , clean sheets and towels. What else do you need to spend 1-2 night while being in LA :))

just at the corner there is a little cafe ( 54th? ), very convenient for a breakfast. Try their fries - amazing :)
