Very clean , great location!
It was my first time in Hollywood and this hotel was just perfectly located! I didn't have any problems at all...just a perfect quality/price hotel.

Convenient location
My husband and I were very satisfied with our stay the Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with answering our questions that we had with regard to taxi services, etc. While our room was a bit small, it was comfortable and clean. The only glitch we ran into was our first full day there, where upon when we came back to our room after 3:00 (and being on the go for the past 5 hours), the maid did not clean our room yet. Other than that, we had no other problems. The hotel location was only a couple of blocks from Hollywood Boulevard, which was very convenient for us since my husband I and like to walk and we spent a lot of time in that area. The only time we needed a taxi was for NBC Studios when we went to the Jay Leno show. We also booked two tours wherein we were picked up and taken back to our hotel.

Mel's Diner on Higland Avenue was a good place for breakfast. The Walk of Fame, Kodak Theater, El Capitan Theater are only a short walk away.

Great Stay!
This hotel was very convenient because it is a short walk away from Hollywood Blvd. It saved us from having to get a taxi when we wanted to see The Hollywood Wax Museum, Graumann's Theatre, The Walk of Fame, The El Capitan Theatre, The Kodak Theatre and more. It was only about a 5-10 minute walk away, so it was perfect. The staff were always very friendly and helpful whenever we needed directions to a certain place or the best way to get there. Our room was always clean and the amenities were always stocked. There is some construction going on in the area, but we never heard any noise from it. It was not a bad neighborhood like other reviewers have stated. This hotel made our trip very convenient and relaxing.

Don't pay for taxis everywhere if you don't have a car. Use the Metro buses and subways. You can stop at one place for $1.25 or you can get on and off any of the buses and subways for only $5.00 for the entire day. You might have to leave a little earlier because the buses make several stops, but it will save you so much money.

Great Hotel
It's a few blocks from Hollywood BLVD. I found it awesome that you could walk 5min and get on the red line subway and from there get to universal in less than 4 min, or downtown, and I even took the subway system to Pasadena for the day. Right next to a lot of awesome clubs. I will book here again.

Good location, but it's a motel.
The Best Western is in a good location for Hollywood and Universal Studios activities. This is an old motel that has been updated and a facade added to appear like a hotel. The room was clean and well kept. The lobby is very small with only one staffer. Parking was very tight, but free. Street traffic is heavy (welcome to L.A.)and can be noisy at night. The pool was Small and tucked into a corner of what used to be a parking area, but appeared to be well kept.

Great Deal
Absolutely great location for tourism. Convenient to everything from attractions to restaurant options to a local market. Decent, clean rooms, good value. I'll definitely be back. Garden style layout made for some noise from a few raucous late night guests, but hey, you're in L.A., right?

Better than it looks
The hotel didn't look like much from the outside but the room was great! I stay in hotels fairly often and while the decor was nice it was the clean look smell and feel of the room that got me. How often to you go into a hotel room and think, wow this is nice?

great location
Went for new years eve, noisy but expected since it was a holiday. Its an Inn so doors are on the outside of the building. Location was great, next to Hollywood Blvd and Universal Studios.
