Room was not ready at check-in, had to wait for housecleaning to finish, this was at 3:30 PM. I have stayed here 3 times before as it do close to everything for me.

FEELING TORN ABOUT THE REVIEW
I stayed for one night as I was to attend a training the next day. In terms of location, it was good as it was very close to the freeway and only about 10 minutes away from Brand Street which is where majority of malls and restaurants are. I was a little surprised when I realized that the hotel is also an apartment building (when at register people were picking up their mail). That probably explained why my non smoking room had any underlying smokey smell??

Clean, basic, safe
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are very basic. They could have included a luggage holder and small frig in the room. Beds were a little stiff. Adjoining restaurant was basic, simple and reasonably priced. Bar that was open in the evening was depressing. A sitting/meeting area would have been nice. Breakfast would have been a welcomed addition. Starbucks within walking distance. Not much else around to do/go. Great if you just want a clean place to sleep.

Great location and service.
While we were there, we went to Universal Studios. The stay was pleasant and safe. The area was nice and we especially loved how close it was to shopping and other attractions.

Very impressive
It was really nice. Even though we got a smoking room(though we don't smoke) it was clean and did not smell like smoke. The view was great and it was close to everything.

The Price is Right
We couldn't make the wi-fi work, but we spent so little time in our room, it didn't matter. The room was quiet, so the time that we spent there sleeping was fine.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Their prices were average. Staff were extra accommodating. In town for a conference and my stay was comfortable. Nothing extra. They need new TV's.

The Pioneer Cafe downstairs was reasonably priced if you don't want to take the few steps to Jack in the Box and Starbucks. A short walk away from the Galleria Mall.

Good neighborhood,old hotel, great price
Cheap, reasonable, good area, and 10-15min to downtown L.A., my band and I had a great time with no hassles, recommended for those who do not need all the bells and whistles
