Ramada Limited Gilroy

This motel would have been OK had I found it on my own and made the decision to stay there. [...] there were some other motels across the street that were clearly in the same price range but looked nicer to stay at [...]. I would have preferred to stay at one of those had I been given the choice. However, the staff at this motel were pleasant to deal with. It's just that the property was run down and not as nice as the stuff I could see from my window across the street.

I liked the fact that it was near the outlet malls and a bunch of places to eat. However, the rooms were severely in need of updating. There was water damage that was painted over by with paint that didn't match so it gave me the feeling that there could be mold. Very depressing decor. Pillows were very stiff and thin. Lots of truck and street noise. Very nice front desk staff.

Since we were only passing thru for 1 night, we walked across the street to the "Bear----" (something or other) cutesy & delicious & reasonably priced with friendly staff restaurant which enjoyed too. The Ramada Limited was very clean which we liked a lot; also enjoyed the light breakfast. This was our only time of staying in Gilroy & it was all just fine.

It's convenient location and cheap price made up for the outdated rooms.

Staff was friendly, however the rooms had a strange dirty odor that needed air freshener to cover up.

The floors were never cleaned. the dark carpet covers up the filth which could be felt with barefeet.

The Ramada Limited in Gilroy, California was a comfortable room. Nice and clean and the owners were very pleasant and helpful with directions. The room had everything we needed. An iron, hair dryer and coffee machine. Continental breakfast was also provided, which I always find to really help with the budget when travelling. The neighborhood, though close to freeway access, was quiet. A few urban noises but nothing more than I here in my own quiet neighborhood at home.

My experiance at this hotel was not one to recommend to anyone staying in the area for a period of time. We were given a key to an unserviced room and instead of immediatly putting us in another room we were told that we could wait while the maid cleans the room. Aside from the smell and hard pillows the room was so so. The hotel offered a continential breakfast but we did not partake. The hotel was very close to the freeway and outlet malls, which was convinent. However, the driveway to get into the hotel parking lot was a tight squeeze and the surounding neighborhood did not feel safe. Overall the experience was ok if you are just passing through for a night, not three days as our trip did.

Everything about the hotel was very good indeed and the woman on the desk was very polite and helpful.

the ramada was comfortable, close to outlet shopping. the room was decent sized but the bathroom was way to small.
