Good value for your money

This is a nice cheap motel. It is clean and the only problem is the noise from the train during the night. Not a problem for me but for other people this may be annoying. Some 15 minutes from the malls and plazas.

Nice place to stay overnight

The room was nice and clean; floor in the bathroom was a little dirty and overused, nice shower. counterspace around the sink just outside the bathroom was a little small for two people to use at the same time. nice room just outside the pool, too bad we got there after 9pm. pool hours are only from 11am to 9 pm. Overall nice place to stay, quiet neighborhood;

Good value for the money

I recommend this room as a money-saver, as long as your expectations are in line with what you are paying. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the TV had HBO. It wasn't fancy at all, and had an old, rather drab look to it, but it was clean. The location was very good for us, as it's conveniently located to the downtown area with nearby government buildings, the outdoor mall, Club One, etc. The neighborhood wasn't so nice, as this part of Fresno has gone downhill in general. We felt safe though; the hotel parking lot was well lighted. We ate at a Denny's two blocks away, and there is a Subway attached to the hotel. There is a railroad nearby, but with ear plugs this was no problem.

One Night Stay

We were there because my husband had an early morning appt at the VA hospital and this was very convenient to the hospital. It was really nice except the soda machine does not offer water. All my husband could have to drink was water and there was nowhere close to get any. My only other complaint is that at about 6am the ice machine either started dumping ice or they were filling it and it was very loud. Other than that it was clean and quiet. Having the Subway right there was very nice but they closed at 8pm. Would have been nice if they were open later. Don't let the outside fool you, it is very clean and comfortable.

Great location

The America's Best Value Inn was exactly what we were looking for. Great value within walking distance of downtown. The staff was very pleasant and the cleaning crew very friendly and helpful finding extra towels for the pool. The breakfast was disappointing however there were plenty of restaurants in the area. We were however advised not to walk after dark.

It will do in a pinch

The room was dark unless the drapes were opened, but then there were people walking back and forthright outside, so the drapes stayed closed. I was very happy to have a refrigerator in the room, but it did not chill very well. The Hotel Staff seemed to be disinterested in everything, but they were not hostile. For personal reasons, I enjoyed my stay there very, very, very much.

Great Hotel!!!

This hotel was great! Nice rooms that are clean and taken care of. Not too far from Yosemite either. I really had no problems with service and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Fresno, CA!
