Extended Stay America - Fairfield - Napa Valley

My experience was horrible. I had signed up for a king size room non-smoking. When I arrived they had a queen size room that was a smoking room. The desk clerk informed me that they were full and that was the only room available. After two minutes of protesting she was able to find a room on the ground floor with two full-size beds. At least it was a non-smoking room. The cable TV at this hotel was not working. When I brought that to the attention of the desk clerk he informed me that maintenance was aware of the problem and would be working on it soon – they will be here in 1 to 2 weeks. Really? During my stay, another guest had a problem with the laundry room. The washing machine was not agitated. When he informed the desk clerk of this, the desk clerk said "yeah we've been having a lot of problems with that. I'll come look at it in a minute." I will never stay here again. What a horrible experience.

On our trip we decided to stop and visit the Jelly Belly factory. I'm traveling with my wife and two small children and decided to stay at Extended because it seemed nice and seemed to have good value. Wrong. I simply reserved and paid for a NON-smoking room but instead got a sorry, smelly, smoked-out room that felt like i was sleeping in someone's shoe. It was bad. We slept with the window open on a cold windy night. A simple request that was too much for Extended to handle. I expressed my discontent to management with no resolution.

IT BAFFLED ME WHEN THEY HANDED ME MY KEY TO A ROOM WITH A QUEEN SIZE BED WHEN I HAD PAID EXTRA FOR A KING...WHEN I TOLD THEM I HAD RESERVED AND PAID FOR A KING BED ROOM A MONTH IN ADVANCE ALL THEY COULD TELL ME WAS THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT KNOW THE GUESTS WHO WERE IN THE SUPPOSED ROOM I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE WOULD EXTEND THEIR STAY!?! I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THAT AT ALL...OTHER THAN NOT GETTING THE BED I PAID FOR EVERYTHING ELSE WAS FINE

As bare bones as it gets! Nice proximity to Napa though which made it worth it (almost). I wouldn't pay more that $59 for this place. Bed was hard and lumpy, no shampoo in room, blankets where thin and old.

[...]. As we went to the third floor we knew we were in trouble. It was like a college dormitory. There must have been a convention of Thai kids there as most of the doors were propped open, the smell of cooking food and smoke permeated the hallway, and 15 or 20 people were running up and down the hallway in their pajamas. When I went back downstairs to ask for other rooms the young lady informed me if we wanted to change rooms we would have to be located on different ends of the hotel. We kept the original rooms and toughed it out. [...]

Was only there to sleep. Paid for a King bed and was provided a queen. The front desk said that we couldn't reserve a king via the internet. But that's what we paid for. The carpets were wet when we arrived & was told that they really want their carptet clean. The beds were not made and no clean towels were provided. We had to take all our dirty towels to the front desk to exchange them for clean ones. The staff seem to have answers for everything and were not very helpful. Not impressed with this hotel at all and don't plan on staying there again. If there was to be no housecleaning service we should have been notified as well as the king bed we paid for and did not receive.

we went to a wedding 3 miles away at a beautiful golf course. this was the cheapest & closest we found. the front desk person wasnt too warm. the whole hotel stunk like cigarette smoke & fast food grease. we left at 5am, left the room key on the front desk with a note of check-out, called later to confirm, nobody checked us out. the person i spoke to didnt sound like she wanted to help me out with this... the cigarette burns on the blankets in the ashtray-smelling room was a nice touch- we requested no-smoking rooms. the whole floor smelled the same!! we've stayed at related hotels in other areas and NEVER had problems like this!!!!

Felt like we were laying on a box spring. Queen size. Went out and got a memory foam first night. Slept great. Packed the memory foam and slept on the mattress for the last night, we were tossing and turning. Halls and elivator smelt like smoke. Not in the room though. Easy acess to the freeway, and shopping. For the price we paid. We could not have found anything better. Minus the uncomfortible bed, It was a good stay

Family Reunion. Wine opener would have been helpful as it's not far from Napa Valley-wine country.
