My college student son stayed at this hotel after a concert and a few days later they charged his bank card $200 for smoking in the room when he didnt and they will not reconsile. They told him to sue them. I wonder how many people they do this to whenever a concert comes to Eureka or Arcata. Luckily his bank is awesome!

Well Done in Eureka
Room was clean, well organized, and up to date. All electronics in the room functioned well. Bed was comfortable. [...] Although we didn't bring a pet with us this trip, it would have been helpful if the no pet policy of the hotel would have been prominently listed in the hotel description. It would have been quite stressful to have brought a pet, and not to have known of the policy until check-in.

This place smells (literally!)
noticed a slightly unpleasant smell when we arrived, but not in the rooms. free breakfast sounded good. the next morning, the stink was pronounced, and unmistakeably sewage: the hotel is next door to the sewage dump for a mobile home park! What is worse, all the outside doors facing the adjoining property were wedged open, so you had to face the smell on the way to and from breakfast. the manager refused to close any of the doors, claiming this would be "inconvenient"
