Great stay!!

wiery traveler
served purpose
it was a room, it was pretty noisy at night. The good things were the beds were comfortabe and there were near by stores and places to eat were close.

Low Cost Motel Stay north of San Diego
The Super 8 Hotel in Escondito was a great bargain that had a clean comfortable room at a super low price. My 3 nite stay was fine for the bucks . The hair dryer didn't work and the air conditioner took too long for cooling down the room on the first nite, but plan on staying their again on my annual attendance at the Big Weekend of Races @ Del Mar .

There is quite an interesting grocery store a couple blocks east of the hotel. The establishment was strictly south of the border flavored great low priced selections I found most appealing

Location was perfect driving distance from Wild animal park. Hotel was hidden behind building felt dark and dangerous but we had no problems both days. Asked attendant about survellance cameras in the parking lot and they were not working. Attendant joking stated it was a bad area; we didn't find that funny or comforting for our vehicle and our safety. In the end we had no problems.

The room had a strange smell to it, which made it difficult to be in there, but i guess after a while we got use to it

"Good clean budget motel"
Good value and it was cheaper booking through [...], the rooms were clean and had a fridge and microwave, the hot tub was great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the waffles were fantastic.

The staff reccommended the Me Guadalahara restaurent which was fantastic Mexican and we went to Tango Restaurant on Grand Ave. which was unbeatable upscale dining.

Family Trip
The hotel was 30 minutes from the zoo and about 15 minutes from the Wild Animal Park. When we arrived the room was very hot, but it cooled down once we turned on the air conditioner. There was cereal, juice, toast, pastries, and waffles for breakfast. I would suggest that they get one or two more waffle makers. People were waiting for long periods of time to make their waffles, especially when a person was making many waffles for his/her family. The first night was loud, but the next two nights were quiet. The staff was very friendly. We asked for extra towels and an iron and received them.
