Cozy family get away
A quaint cozy casa that was semi-quiet on a busy street. Like the tile floors and fountains outside.

Perfect little spot, great accomodations
The wife and I went here for R&R; pure and simple restful vacation. We wanted to be within walking distance from the beach for an affordable price. This spot nailed it. The walk to Beacon Point Beach was maybe 5 blocks and the walk to Leucadia Beach was maybe 3-4 blocks. Encinitas was a nice place to walk through and grab some good eats as well. We used the mini fridge as there was a farmer's market 3 buildings down with awesome produce. [...]- hope I am spelling it right - the manager was great. Very helpful with local information and pamphlets. We got there a little early and while our room wasn't ready yet, he said he'd call as soon as it was ready. He followed through within 45 minutes - still way early for the standard check in time.Maids were helpful and did a good job. Always fresh towels :0)All in all, if you need a place to be unplugged (no wi-fi), relax, be close to the beach, and a short drive to downtown Encinitas, this is your spot. I highly recommend the place and look forward to coming back again.**The landscaping is awesome. The first scent you're hit with is jasmine. Absolutely awesome.

There is a Japanese Sake House called Yu Me Ya right around the corner. Apparently it is one of the most "reviewed" places in Encinitas. They seem to rarely turn on their "open" sign in the window, but, don't worry - they are in fact OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Get there as early as you can (~5:30pm?). It's great authentic Japanese food!

Cozy little place.....
The Leucadia Beach Inn is a cozy little place, we stayed in two different rooms, the first had a slight odor, either from the fridge or behind it. The second room was much better with a cooktop, toaster, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. We have stayed at the Inn twice, the first time in Sept of '05 and now in Sept of '07. Just down the street is a great little local restaurant. Quite a few restaurants in the area. Very close to the beach. Great area. Great value for the money. We will be staying there again.

Very Family Friendly - GREAT location
The Leucadia Beach Inn was charming and the staff were very nice. The Inn is located between South Carlsbad and Encinitas with an amazing mixture of restaurants, shops, animal care and of course beach access. From the 4th Street view point we watched an amazing sunset. We were very happy with the place even though they have basically no amenities. Although, they do have a stove, refrigerator a, coffee pot and microwave. There were a couple of issues that we took care of ourselves. We have allergies so I carry Lysol with us. There was black mold in the bathroom around the shower stall and a lot of dust on the fan blades. Easily remedied. If you are looking for a nice, quaint place to visit, this is it. There was a really nice produce store several doors down and a bazaar in Encinitas on Sa. and Sun. The biggest issue that we has was that there was no place for our dogs to play - no beaches allowed pets. We did find out when we left that there was a park across the street - within walking distance. Information that would have been useful if told at the beginning of our stay.

Beach Bummer
The Leucadia Beach Inn looked beautiful on the exterior, but the room was absolutely filthy. The refrigerator was filled with half empty bottles and junk from the previous occupants. The floor was filthy; socks needed to be thrown away after walking across the room. There was major dust on all the furniture. But even worse was the shower - it was disgusting -there was black mold and mildew all over it. Basically, they painted the outside of the hotel, put new, cool looking front doors on the rooms and left it at that. The location is great, however, I wouldn't recommend this place...too bad.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
There are beautiful beaches in this area. You can walk for miles and miles in either direction. The water is very clean and we even saw dolphins and seals.
