Very convenient
We love this hotel. We have stayed here twice now on different trips, and it is conveniently located to BART, the Bay Bridge, and the Oakland Airport, plus it is easy to get to. We have always had perfect service, the staff is courteous and friendly and helpful. We took advantage of room service, and don't mind the parking fee as we feel safer. Our room is always clean and comfortable, supplied with everything we need. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the Bay Area.

Just what we needed!
We looked for a comfortable reasonably-priced hotel close to our daughter's home on the Oakland/Emeryville border. There is a cluster of chain hotels in this location - we've stayed at two others on previous occasions, and this one was the best. Friendly staff, welcoming lobby with fireplace, well-equipped room with fridge and microwave, good gym facilities - and a comfortable bed. We shall definitely stay there again.

Emeryville Escape
Getting thru the Bay Area traffic jams was a real hassle in the rain. It was so nice to relax in Emeryville after fighting traffic all day! Was disappointed that the hotel charged for parking. That's why we avoided staying in SF hotels because of their parking fees! We enjoyed walking to the Marina & watching the seabirds in the Bay. Such a nice change!

One for the Team
The hotel itself was nice; however, if you did not have a personal vehicle, it was rather difficult and/or expensive to get around the area. We stayed there because it was the sponsor of a weekend volleyball tournament at UC-Berkeley; but the hotel shuttle was not available during the weekend and the hotel did not offer any means to get back and forth to its sponsored event besides a local taxi service. That got expensive, so we used the BART system and a local shuttle service, but that was not close to the hotel and took quite a bit of time. We would have stayed closer to the tournament venue had we known the transportation issues we faced. Glad we had nice accommodations to return to!
