LAX South Travelodge

We wanted a hotel very close to the airport, because of an early AM flight. For that purpose, the hotel served, and their free shuttle to the airport was great. For other purposes, it was sub-par. Refrigerator half-worked, air conditioning did not. We opened the window for pleasant outside air, but that brought in parking lot noise (including one car alarm that went off twice between 4 and 6 AM). I would probably not do it again.

small room but clean and comfortable with nice new flat screen tv. close to LAX and an easy drive there without much traffic.

The staff is nice and very friendly. The continental breakfast area needed much attention and was very poorly presented. The bed in the room was comfortable although the cigaret burns in the blanket was distasteful. The room had a funky smell. The paint on peeling in the bathroom needs attention. All in all if you plan on just sleeping here and nothing more... it works out great.

10' X 10' room, 4' X 7' bathrm. Open the door, the bed in one step to it. Too small to move around and too cramp for comfort.

We choice the hotel for the night before our departure from LA because it provided shuttle service to the airport. Well yes, to the 1st 7 for a given time slot, and even the time slots were limited. So we had to pay an extra $15 plus tip to get to the airport. The room was nothing to write home about, the bed was not king size as we had booked and was a bit old, as was the rest of the room. I would not return and would not recommend it.

I was staying there one night before my flight home in the morning and wanted somewhere relatively close to the airport but not overpriced. Not a whole lot in the area so best to have a car. The staff were hit and miss on helpfulness but one did tell me where to get the bus to other things. Once on the bus the woman driving was fantastic, very helpful, explained what was where, how to get there and how to use the bus transfers, an absolute gem and made me feel much more confident getting around alone. The room was clean and comfortable but the breakfast disappointing. Very useful shuttle to the airport in the morning. Would possibly stay again if needing an overnight for a flight but wouldnt go straight for it given the choice of other places in the price range.

Our room was so tiny that we kept bumping into things when we moved around the room. There was room to put one bag down and we had to stack up our other bags on the refrigerator because there was no floor space to put them on. Every time that I went to sit on the bed, the only place from which you could see the TV, I knocked into the air conditioner. There was no place to set up my computer. It felt like a well equipped prison cell.

Great location if u need to be close to LAX! No real info on LA to be found in Hotel & staff not that friendly. Otherwise good hotel & would probably stay again.
