Excellent Service
We requested another room because it was too close to the door as far as noise. The manager bumped up with no extra charge to a kitchenette. We utilized the frig & coffee pot in the morning. The woman checking us inquired about our plans and when she found out we were going to stay out late for a company Xmas party & cabbing it she offered to call us a cab, give us a late check-out, and a wake-up call! Thanks Clarion Staff!

We had a company Xmas Party down the street at Flavors. The food was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Waking up to a Pacific Ocean view was breathtaking. While the hotel wasn't glitzy, it was clean and comfortable. The smoothies at the continental breakfast were great and the staff was helpful and polite. what more could you want?

perfect location, perfect backdrop! nice place to shop,look around, close to the beach,and highway 5 -to go anywhere in San Diego, friendly service at all Del Mar locations especially at The Wine and Liquor Store. Thank you for a short but lovely trip! We will be back!! and will recommend to friends/relatives! Thanks Orbitz, good job!! ps only complaint missed my daily yogurt/.Delta airlines- 5 star! see ya 2012!

Great Location, Clean, Comfy
Right by many beautiful and popular beaches in San Diego. Quiet area with many little shops and restaurants. So much to do in this beautiful area from sightseeing, shopping, parks, amazing restaurants. Service at front desk was thorough and staff were friendly. Rooms a bit dated, but still charming and comfortable. Continental breakfast decent. No problems, would stay again.

Excellent staff. Noticed that the hotel is currently applying for a liquor license. I presume the planning of opening up a restuarant on premises depends upon this license. Allowed to use a nearby local health club at no cost since their is no such facility on site. Excellent health club in a nice location. Cannot easily walk to Del Mar track but the drive is less than a mile. I would not pay much more for the ocean view which a parking lot and private homes are tucked between. Their is no way any first floor room has much of an ocean view. Easy walk to a near by public beach. Nice free breakfast.

Across the street and about a quarter mile down is a combination liquor store and deli. Had very tasty sandwiches their at a reasonable price. Good lunch for those with kids.

Hotel was overall not bad at all. Rooms were a nice size and I appreciated the mini fridge and microwave. Made it easy to bring food. Big TV in room. I only have 2 minus points -wish there was some forms of protein in the breakfast. It was all fruit and sugar. BUT it was free so I cant really complain. -the 'beach view' was in no way a beach view. dont pay extra for it, you cant see anything no matter what angle you are at,

Good location, hard to find
Though they tried, the desk clerks were unable to check us in before 4pm. We arrived in San Diego at 10am. We could have "freshened up" in the restroom located next to the pool, but that really didn't help us since my husband has a medical issue that sometimes requires that he be able to lie down. The hotel is not well signed and we drove past it 3 times before locating the driveway. Location on the historic beach highway was nice, but it was still a good hike to the water. The continental breakfast was adequate, nothing special. Local restaurants were good and plentiful.

Really check your map for location. Some streets have 2 names. Our GPS only knew one of the names making the hotel difficult to find.

VERY NICE INN
VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE AND VERY HELPFUL IN ARRANGING AN EXRA ROOM AT THE LAST MOMENT. ROOMS WERE JUST RIGHT FOR US. CLOSE FOR US FOR THE ELECTRONIC SHOW. NICE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST.
