worth the price
the hotel is really not too far away from down town san fran easy drive to get there.. the staff was pretty friendly .. the rooms were spacious and clean . .the hotel is dated but they still do a pretty good job on giving you some good value I would recommend staying there and I would book again there

Horrible bed, Climate control
The location is great. The room decor is great. The continental breakfast is..quaint. The room temperature can probably be okay while the weather outside is nice. There is no central heating, though, so the bathroom was CRAZY cold. The main area was tolerable with the in-window heater/AC. The bed was horrible. Hard, Small, noisy. Crazy bad. If the weather is nice and you are a sound sleeper who prefers a firm mattress, this place will probably do just fine. The location is great.

Electrical Problems
When we checked in the power went out when we were in the shower and was out the rest of the night. We were not offered any help of discount or even a credit for a future stay.

Quaint and worthy of San Francisco
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was one of the best contintentals I've had. View was great and this was a very rewadring experience.

good staff but room needs work
One of the reasons I picked this room was because of the free in-room internet service, but quality of the signal was so low that neither of my devices could connect. The toilet is one of those extra-weak flushers that clogs regularly even if you use it with care. Ask for a plunger and keep it in your room. The bed was too soft. My back couldn't take it the third day and I had to move out. On the other hand, the staff was very helpful and housekeeping cleaned my room after about 3pm when I finally left for the day. A lot of places stop cleaning earlier than that.

great little hotel
This is a great little hideaway with good access to major freeways, at an affordable price. The staff is very customer orientated and service was superb. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Nice room, clean, and good service
If you visit SF with a tight budget, Alpine Inn has the best value. Location (Daly City) is only minutes to the city and is better than San Bruno area. Rooms are clean with wood floor and tasteful decor. Free (rare within SF) parking is right in front. I spoke with the owner, and he was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and come back again.
